Hello,

Duplicate listings may result from the following conditions:

1. During the create listing process in Sales Manager, you may have accidentally double-clicked on the "launch" button, or used "stop" and "refresh" if there was a delay.
2. If you used Sales Manager Pro or Business Edition, you may have resynchronized a batch again after an error during synchronization. In this case, some auctions may be uploaded before the error is produced. If you resynchronize without removing these from the batch, they will be duplicated. We recommend checking your online account and/or email account before uploading again if you receive a synchronization error.
3. You may have attempted to list a large volume from Inventory, resulting in a page timeout. The browser error may have instructed you to reload the page, which can result in duplicate listings if you do not check Sales Manager to see if any listings were created before the timeout occurred.

Please note that if an auction is already active, you will need to end it early directly at the auction site to avoid any problems. To end an eBay auction early, please visit this URL:

http://pages.ebay.com/services/buyandsell/end-auction.html

If you have charges from Vendio for the duplicates, you can request a refund here:

https://secure.vendio.com/my/acct/request_refund.html

If you have a bunch then we recommend contacting our billing department for a bulk refund of listing fees.
Regards,

Sonya

I really don't think I hit the button twice. I'm not sure how I would have done that in any case..once you hit it once, it disappears and a message comes up asking if you want these to list right away. Then they are gone. I have to wait and see what eBay does, because if they aren't refunding me, there is no sense in removing them.

Hi, just got home late this evening and the ONE auction I'd scheduled to start at 6.15 p.m. posted 4 times!! (same item!)
I certainly didn't "accidently double-click", twice!

I scheduled it, and only got the one message, immediately, on my manager page saying that "it" no plural, was scheduled etc. etc.

Anyone else?
I, too, don't want to pay listing fees to Vendio and ebay for the extra 3, especially as it's a fairly low price item.

Could it be an ebay glitch?
Could it be Vendio?
Seems a little co-incidental...

Hello,

To contact the billing department you can use the email support link from the Help page within Vendio. When you choose a subject, you can choose billing.

Given the number of listings here this may warrant some further investigation.

Uglimouse, could you tell me the name of the item that listed multiple times, and the eBay ID's of the items?

Thanks,
Abe

Thanks Abe.
There are actually "only" 3, upon closer inspection.
Naturally, I only want 1 to be active.
I tried to get into ebay late last night, after reading and posting here, to cancel 2, but I couldn't finalize it. (maintenance?)
:
The 3 ebay item numbers are:
7373860804
7373860886

7373860933
Same item. (not a Dutch. I only have one of the "item".
Approx.7 seconds between each launch/ending time. No bids. (as yet).
Thanks for your attention. I'll be out this evening (PST), so hopefully I can get this resolved , or know where to go on ebay to do so.
I followed the ebay "refund" and "cancellation" links you gave in the previous post, (magnetic's) and followed them; also I searched under 'duplicate listing error'; but it only allowed for removal/closing of one item, explanation of 'error-message',cancellation of bid, or refund due to non-payment ( after closing) etc. Nothing to compensate for "erroneous" multiple listing itself.

But then, why would they?
They must pick up an awful lot of "erroneous" fees that way.
I've had to cancel auctions before ( and pay ebay fees) because of typos that had an opening price of $450 instead of $4.50 dur to typo! as an example!

They are not encouraging refunds for genuine errors when it's such a cash cow, obviously!

I'd just like to know if there's any way to discover if it was "pilot error" or a service/venue malfunction before I (inevitably?) eat the charges.

Many thanks again,
uglimouse

This happened to me several times. At fault was a sticky mouse. I hope your problem is as easy to fix as mine was!

Mine was not a sticky mouse. Once I sent them to list, I got the list on Vendio, of what listed. It only showed everything once. eBay credited me the listing fees, with no problem. Now to see that Vendio does the same.

Good for you! I might ask eBay to credit me for my listings with errors by Vendio - it would just about cut my eBay bill in half! Vendio offered me a $10 credit which is a joke, right?

They offered you a credit? That's more than they offered me. Nice for you..not so nice for me. This took a lot of time to go back and fourth with eBay, remove them all, the paperwork..geesh.

Hello Magnetattractions,

I don't understand your last post. When Sonya replied she gave you a link to where you can request a refund, from eBay and Vendio, and when I replied I gave you the address to the billilng department. Following either of these routes begins the process of getting you a credit.

Uglimouse, I hate to say it but it sounds like your multiple list was probably the result of "pilot error" or instrument/mouse error. The only way two items could launch 7 seconds apart is if they were basically launched at the same time. An accidental multiple click on the launch page could have done that. If you choose to get a Credit from eBay and are able, you can also get a credit from Vendio as well using the links in this thread.

Best,
Abe

My last post stated surprise that this person got a credit for this mistake (I assume for some of their trouble?). For me, I seem to be getting the run around. You gave me an address to give the billing a bulk refund. I sent them my info. They now sent me the place and tell me to put the ebay line item in the text area. But the actual place they send me was the request page, that allows you to put these in one by one. I'm not about to do this one by one.I've already put too much time into this. eBay refunded immediately, just by looking at my auctions and seeing I ended them.
