I started another thread concerning WBNs, but another member also added that when buyers paid for several items at the same time through PayPal none of the items show as "paid" in Vendio.

Customer Support picked up on this and sent a request to the techs to support combined orders.

When I posted a request a couple of days ago asking for progress on this, Customer Service replied:

<No updates on the project to add combined order support for the PayPal IPN system at this time. When more information is available on this project, we will post back to this thread.>

However, this seems to me a MUCH more important problem than the title of the original thread would indicate, so I'm taking the liberty of starting a new thread on it (it may be removed -- I don't know how the forum rules apply here).

But I'd like to know if anyone else is having trouble getting combined orders communicated as "paid" from PayPal. Or perhaps, as the person who brought it up suggested, it only happens when sellers don't use Vendio Checkout?

At any rate, I'm even reluctant to list until I hear something back on this very basic seller need.

Thanks,
Tom

Hello Tom,

It is on our list of customer requests but unfortunately I don't know when it might be available. I do agree with you that it is important and can assure you that the right folks are receiving your comments.

Thank you for your feedback, and for your patience.

Regards,

Sonya

I posted about this problem about a year ago and a request went in....but as you see Tom, requests might go in but whether they are ever acted upon is another matter! Don't hold your breath.

And BTW if you are planning on opening an ebay store and stocking it with your relists you have another ugly suprise coming....you can't change format and add gallery in bulk relists so each item has to be edited one ..by one ...by 6000 in my ebay store. I harp about this every few months and requests go in..but well.. as I said don't hold your breath.

Everyone not using Vendio checkout has this combined payment problem...I am beginning to think most people here just sell one item at a time because you'd think there would be more complaints. SIGHHHHHHHH.

Hi, neglus:

Wow, you're really giving me some eye-openers here!

I plan to return to selling postcards - lots of them - and you mentioned exactly what I planned to do: List, relist, then move into the store.

It's really incredible to think you can't just select the ones you want to move and well, move them (or reformat them), in bulk with a click.

As you know, postcards are a volume one-of-a-kind item business, so we need volume solutions! I gotta check this out further.

Tom

Tom - I sell lots of postcards -it's doable with Vendio but could be better. I don't know if there is a better solution out there but there SHOULD be! It seems no one else on this board cares about bulk relister with the ability to change format (used mostly for store but also for the special FP days) and add gallery views. I keep asking for it (I would say for at least 2 years) but to no avail. As you can see, no one is chiming in about the combined order problem. I work around the problems but am sure I could list more and sell more if I wasn't wasting so much time doing the work arounds!

If you want, you can email me (contact seller on ebay would probably be the best way as I don't want to post my email address).

I use EBay's Sales Manager for post-sales management, relisting and sending to my store. It's free with an eBay store. It did have some problems but the glitches are getting fewer and fewer. It does well for combined shipments and is great for bulk relisting, changing formats, and adding gallery. It also lets you search all sold, unsold or active listings by title, listing id or buyer email.

Hi, PIXIAMOM:
Yes, I was considering Sales Manager or SMPro, but the recent changes in its format (a couple of weeks ago) caused so many negative postings in their forums, and complaints of what appear to be serious selling problems, that I passed on it for now.

It's working OK for you, though?

Tom

i also send in for them complainig about paypal payments not being recoreded in vendio, i come to realise that this problem is only if a customer pays a little time later not through vendio service.

i have another system that i am looking in and if this works out i will let every body know about it

reading from the post it looks to me that vendio is taking this as another nice addition to vendio but in fact it is neccessity, otherwise how in the world do i know when a customer has paid.

Hello,

We do realize the importance of this tool and are already working with paypal on the formatting needs to get this into place via their IPN system.

When more information is available we will post back to the announcements forum.

If you have any questions on this topic please let us know so we may address them for you.

If you would like to leave feedback about the Vendio services please feel free to do so in our feedback forum where the appropriatte people can review it (without it dropping to page 3 few days later.)

Regards,
Christopher
