I am in the process of creating a privacy policy for my eBay and Vendio stores. While doing so, I note that Vendio has a privacy policy in regard to information for me, however, there is no clear cut privacy policy for the information gathered from my customers. What assurances can you give them? I need to know, as I do not want to revisit this topic after this week.
Rather than create one for you, will you please contact your legal counsel or someone familiar with the legalities of your policy, so as to provide one for my customers.
My concern is directed to the information gained at checkout through the Vendio store or the redirect of checkout from eBay purchases that Vendio has on its servers.
I can easily write a privacy policy for information that I have, but I choose not to speak for Vendio.
Here is the one I have prepared for my eBay store:

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise share your personal information, such as name, email address, physical address, phone numbers, buying history, etc.Your information stays here period. You do not have to worry about receiving unsolicited email from other companies or individuals as a result of shopping, entering a contest, or an auction. We may on occasion, send out an email announcement to inform our customers when we add a major new feature to our website, once again, the email addresses are not shared with anyone else.
This site is hosted by eBay Stores. eBay Stores hosts the store pages, ordering system, and order data. eBay Stores automatically collects order information but may use this information in the aggregate. If you accessed this store through eBay, eBay also automatically collects information about your shopping experience. We contract with a 3rd party provider known as Vendio. Vendio provides backroom operations, such as inventory control, item listing, customer checkout, customer billing, mail functions, and messaging.
