Yes, that's my main concern.
I really excited about the idea of this Ebay Express, but how well and fast will Vendio integrate with it.
All I sell is new items, so if Vendio doesn't integrate it or if they drag their heels(remember we are still waiting on Best Offer, released nearly a year ago)..I will have no choice but to finally move out of Vendio.
Don't want to do that...been here since it was a free service.

I agree with everyone on this. best offer will have a driver's license before they set it up here!
If we are to compete and if Vendio is going to keep us here competing, it will be the way that they respond to the changes on the main bread and butter --E bay.
Now that e-bay is enhancing their picture services and other designer stuff the need for vendio is going to diminish.
These are not threats but simple facts from the market place.
To pay a $100+ a month for a service that is doing less than the free stuff is a bit foolish.
If e-bay has stopped Vendio from installing some of these changes let us know, because it seems to be really obstinate on Vendio part that these changes are not made rapidly as a matter of course.
We should not have to beg for these changes on the listing form. The whole purpose of this program is to list items onto e-bay.
I not complaining about layouts or ease of use or that it has some bugs at times. Just that it is the form we are provided to use for listing items on e-bay.
Yet you still have to go to the ebay listing form to make changes to complete the listing, then return to change them again if the bid is re-listed.
This is eBay's full explanation of the eBay express. Please correct me if I'm reading this wrong. The way it looks to me is that if your listings meet the criteria they will automatically go to eBay express.
You must insure the settings in pay pal are as they state and you use eBay check out or an approved third party check out.
All fixed price items from Vendio should meet this criteria as long as you have 100 feed back and 98% positive. and pay pal settings are set to accept unconfirmed address. Which should not be a problem for anyone who sells internationally. And if you are serious about sales, you are selling internationally.
I only brought up international sales, because they are all from unconfirmed addresses. This new vinue will only be open to the US when it starts

Vendio has to work with(be ready for) these changes:
Listing Criteria for Ebay Express
List in fixed price format or Stores Inventory format
Fill in the item condition field (i.e. New, Used, Refurbished) in Item Specifics
Include shipping costs - flat, calculated or free
Provide a picture or gallery
Use eBay checkout or the new checkout integration API ( for 3rd party order processing)
As you can see, a new field has to be added and a new check-out.
I pray that I'm looking at this wrong and Vendio already has the ball rolling, but...(again think about Best Offer).
The fact that they haven't responded is also quite disturbing.

Yes, I agree. No response has been common place here recently all over these boards.
I guess i was hoping for to much, when i thought things would work like they are now, and eBay would review and accept the fixed price listings and vendio check out.
Well, the way things look now, this could be a make or brake year for third party services.
With eBay rolling out new services and package deals (pro services)for listing upgrades at reduced rates. Reduced rates for higher volume image services. Better search results for stores (store inventory in search). And free picture show option for listings.
Some changes might make it worth wile to drop third party services and just use eBay. But i do like being able to double check everything here in Vendio, and know that i have caught everything that i was paid for.

Vendio has been previewing new enhancements all week long. They were doing so to seek comments on the new additions. The preview continues until Friday. Did anyone sign up to view them?

THEY ARE NOT KEEPING UP WITH THE "OLD" NEW THINGS.
I DID NOT RESPOND TO THE REQUEST BECAUSE I SEE A LACK OF REACTION TO MANY DIFFERENT REQUESTS ALL READY MENTIONED HERE. THEY HAVE DUMPED THE ENTIRE THING ON THESE MONITOR WORKERS TO RESPOND TO AND THEY SEEM TO JUST PRETEND THAT EVERY THING IS ROSY.(MANAGEMENT)
I UNDERSTAND THAT THIS LISTING SYSTEM CAN NOT BE ALL THINGS TO ALL PEOPLE BUT I SEE EBAY TRYING TO HARVEST IN AS MUCH OF THE ANCILLARY SALES TO KEEP THE PROFITS UP.
THEY CAN NOT CONTINUE TO INCREASE THE BASIC FEES SO THEY ARE NOW LOOKING TO SEE IF THEY CAN KEEP US IN HOUSE WHILE WE A RE SPENDING $$.
THANKFULLY THEY (E-BAY) ARE SEEING THAT THEY NEED TO CLOSE SALES TOO TO MAKE A BOTTOM LINE. I SEE A LOT OF THESE CHANGES TO HELP CLOSE SALES.
A LOT OF E-BAYER'S HAVE JUST FOUND WAYS TO SELL WITHOUT THE HUGE FEES,SUCH AS STORES, VENDIO STORES AND WEB SITES.
WE WILL NOT EVEN GO THERE ON THE LACK OF EASE IN THOSE AREAS.

From the Ebay Developers Program page on the subject of Ebay Express:
checkout redirect is not supported on eBay Express. Items that use checkout redirect are not eligible for eBay Express unless a special flag is specified on the item when it is listed that says that the item should still be eligible, and that if the item is purchased on eBay Express it will use eBay Checkout.
I imagine that Vendio is well aware of this, but they feel they don't need to address this huge issue.
Vendio, the longer you keep us in the dark about how you will be handling this, the faster you will be losing loyal customers.

Vendio will officially be supporting the new eBay express listings. That's great news but how long will it be, another year or two after ebay launch's it? Like was noted earlier, we are still waiting for Best Offer.
