Since Vendio Merchandising Edition does not have the ability to bulk relist items to ebay store can I use ebay to do that and then import them to Sales Manager so I can use Vendio post-sale?

I am so frustrated! I have a thousand items to relist from auction and or fixed price format to my ebay store but it is taking me forever to do that one by one using Vendio merchandising edition! The best solution seems to be to use ebay and then import to Vendio but I remember reading on another thread that we can only use Vendio ONCE to import items and not routinely. Is this true?

When you import, it will rename your images with an extension and copy them to Vendio which results in duplicate images and expanded storage.

That could get messy but I have lots of available image storage under my current plans. I momentarily tried switching over to Inventory Edition but YIKES that doesn't seem like it will work at all and WHAT A HUGE learning curve!

None of my unsolds were inventory items and it wasn't clear to me if importing my items would work with unsold closed items (which is the whole reason I was trying the switch in the first place) ao I could change the format en masse. I also found I lost all of the profiles I had been diligently setting up (thinking errneously that those would be used in Inventory Edition). I guess Inventory Edition isn't for me and Merchandising EDition is more of a dinosaur than ebay these days! SIGHHHHHHHHHH

Hello,

You can relist these items from eBay then import them. You will then need to select them and click "Set WBN" in the toolbar on the Active Listings page.

By the way, if you switch to SMIE, you can import ALL your listings and ALL your inventory items. There is also an instructional video on how to do the import, and how to create and launch auctions and more. The video is on the Help page and there is a link to it from the Inventory All Folders page in SMIE. It would allow you to relist in the way that you want to as well. Just so you know.

Best,
Abe

Abe! I didn't even know you responded because you signed in as me! YIKES!

When you say I can import "my inventory" in SMIE, do you mean my unsold items? Will my unsolds still appear in PostSale->Unsold so I can find them to relist? My whole filing system for unsold items is based on dates listed and not on SKU.

The problem is that I just don't have the time to monkey around. I need to KNOW that SMIE will work for me before I invest time in learning it. I sell unique items but they are all postcards. The descriptions are basically the same with variables based on each unique item. The term "inventory" (implying quantities etc) does not really apply as I just have one of each item. I think I will continue to select my relists from "unsold" items and not from an inventory control folder. Will this still work?

I am terrified that somehow my data will be corrupted or images lost. With 6500 items I will never find the problems!!

I tried inventory edition and it was a night-mare. It is way to complicated since I also sell unique items. I was constantly screwing up my auction listings. It does have a lot of good qualities in it though and as I get more settled I will try to put a nail in each one. I switched to SMME and all went nice and smooth tonight. Vendio needs to come out with something in between for thos of us that have large inventories of unique items.
