I have my uploading file default set to 'Val's Images,' but every time I access that page to upload for the past two days it is open to 'Unfiled' and I have to reset it for my images to go into the correct file. I checked my setting in My Account and it is correct; it is just being ignored. One more mouse click to remember in uploading, if you can't fix this! Thanks ... Val

Hello Val,

Are you able to replicate this error yet today?

I just checked and 'vals images' is still set as the default. When I clicked to 'upload images' the upload page did appear to be defaulting to your 'vals images' folder.

Christopher

No, Christopher, I'm still getting 'Unfiled' when I access the upload page, and I have to change it manually to 'Val's Images.' I know 'Val's Images' is set as my default, because that's the first thing I checked when it started giving me 'Unfiled". And I've cleared my cache and, a few days before this started happening, I cleared out my cookies, too. The only thing I've changed on my computer recently was to download Java on the advice of eBay a few days before this started happening. The Java didn't fix the problem it was supposed to fix at eBay either. I am in a technological mess this week!

Thanks for any additional thoughts you might have. I keep forgetting to change it when I upload new images, and then I have to go drag my uploaded images out of Unfiled and back into Val's Images.

Hello Val,

I might know where you are referring to running into this error now.

Your not going to the Image Hosting page and then clicking to upload images from there right?

Rather your referring to going into the create listing process and in the middle of working on your listings you click to 'upload' images from the create listing page, does that sound right?

If so, try going directly to the image hosting page and click to upload from here instead - then check to see if it is defaulting to your Vals image folder properly.

Christopher

That's a good thought, Christopher, but I NEVER access the upload function while I'm preparing an auction. Last week I needed an additional image for an auction I was putting together, so I saved the unfinished auction and then went to the upload screen using the dropdown "choose page" menu at the top of the screen, scanned and edited the new image, and uploaded it. I then reopened my unfinished auction and deleted and reselected images so the new image would be in the correct sequence with the others. I figured that if I didn't save the auction first, the new image would not appear in my list inside the auction creation page!

I always access Vendio at the home page and use the dropdown menu to access the upload page. I then sit at the upload page while I edit a group of photographed or scanned images in Adobe Photoshop, save them to my eBay photo file in my computer, and then upload the new group of images to 'Val's Images' at Vendio.

I did try going to the "Manage Images" page and then to the Upload page, and it still came up "Unfiled."

Andrea in your office just uploaded a sample image to my account, which is fine, but I'm not having trouble uploading; it's just that my file default suddenly stopped working, so I have to remember to set the default to 'Val's Images' every time I access the upload page, or else uploaded images go into 'Unfiled,' and then I have to move them manually to 'Val's Images' afterward. Eventually I will learn to remember to reset the image file before I upload; I just wondered if there was an easy fix to this, or whether anyone else was suddenly having this problem.

Thanks for giving this your time. -- Val
