I'm having a few problems that have probably been going on for a while, but have just recently been brought to my attention. These are some examples for stuff I've launched tonight. I have two Holly Hobbie dolls ( 567693287,5676927259) that are showing in my eBay store, but if you try and use the store search to find them, they don't appear. They do appear on the eBay search. I have a polar bear (5676925389) that shows up on my seller list on eBay, but does not show up in the eBay store or the eBay general search. I have a Strawberry Shortcake (5676921859) that shows up in the eBay store and in the general eBay search, but not when you click into the store and search from there. A bear (5676922147) does not appear in the general search OR the store search but can be seen under the bears catagory heading. I'm not sure if this is just an eBay thing or somehow Vendio is involved also. But any advice from other sellers or Vendio would be appreciated. Last night I ended a store listing that would not appear in the search. I re-did it several times before it would be recognized. Since it's only a few cents, I didn't mind, but the ones tonight are regular auctions and I don't want to end them and re-list until they start showing up. I've also checked an item that just ended that only got two hits and it doesn't show up in the eBay search, so pretty sure this was one of those "lost" items. I fear this is happening quite a bit and I think sellers should be checking into this and making sure you're not being effected as well.

Hello,

I checked last nights stats for the eBay API to see if there were any delays at the eBay side for listing and there does appear to be a large spike in the time it was taking them to process your items.

Seeing a delay in the time it takes from when your items go live to when they are available via search and in your sellers list is actually normal and can take upwards of 30 minutes on a normal day.

When there are delays in the API, it can take eBay up to a few hours to add all new items to search and your sellers list.

Note that as long as the item was submitted and assigned a number, it will eventually appear in both areas (it may just be a backlog at eBay at the time.)

Regards,
Christopher

Hi, Christopher:

You are correct for the most part, and my items did eventually all appear in the search. However, that is not always the case. The first time this came to my attention was a few weeks ago. One of my store items did not show up in my store or on a general eBay search. However, I did have an item number and could find it that way. It had been in the system for several weeks. So unfortunately, it is not fail-safe. I would suggest sellers check items with very low hits to make sure it's in the search.
