I'm looking for some help from fellow Amazon sellers. I've been posting auctions on Amazon for a few months, and have a Merchant account. Sell rates have been OK, and I'm very happy with selling prices. I have not really tried the zShops as of yet.
My question is - in which area have sellers had the most luck. I'm sure what you sell can have some bearing on this - I sell sports cards. Just wondering which venue sellers have had better experience with.

i have been thinking of opening a zshop also, dont care much for thier auction.
do you know a zshop can drop its items to auction??
you have to pay of course, but it is a convenience.
i would like to know is there any zshop owners here who can tell us how successful zshops are??
there is a user by name WHATNOT who claims to sell in 8 websites and she said her zshop does well but zshop kills the auction, may be we can ask her to elaborate more!

I sold on auctions up until 10/2000. I converted all my auctions to Marketplace and went from sales of $500.00 a month on auctions to $2,000-5,000 a month. Same number of listings (2000) I was just selling books. Then I added, New and Used Videos, Music Cd's and DVD's and many days when the books are not selling, all I sell is the other items. On auctions after I put a take-it price, that is how 75% of my books sold.
My average price for my hardcover, out of print books is $15.00, even when 20 people have it for less. My feedback is close ot 500 with a 5 out of 5 star rating. I have only had 2 4's in 3 years. I just this weekend lower the price of some books to clear my shelves of books that have not sold and I have had a long time
