Recently someone on this board recommended www.spamcop.net to those getting alot of spam email. It is free and every easy to use, just copy and paste and send it! Let me tell you how satisfying it is!

I have got 3-4 spam emails from a guy who was kicked off eBay for selling some CD that was banned by eBay and he wanted to sell it to me as he informed me through his many emails. This guy's ISP contacted me today to tell me because of mine and other's complaints his account was suspended.

So if everyone joins and reports their unwanted spam we just might make a dent!!

This is one of the lamest sites on the net.

What would you recommend? I've never used it, but am assuming you have. I'd be interested in other "non-lame" sites out there that you are familiar with that offer the same or better service at the same cost.

Thanks!

It's lame.

It's a waste of cyberspace, just like all spam complaints.

There is more time space and bandwidth taken up by complaints against SPAM, than there is by spam it's self.

I get sickened by rabid anti-spam-kooks. What a waste.

There would not be complaints about spam taking up up bandwidth if there was no spam.

All spammers should be herded up and forced to fill out get rich quick forms. Then shipped off to Pluto where they can't pollute the net anymore.

There was Spam, There is Spam, There will always be Spam. Complaints are a waste of time and effort and bandwidth. Did you forget how to use your delete key?

Could it be that those speaking so harshly against Spamcop might be a spammers? Of course, that COULD cut down on their potential income..

Pluto...hmmmm....not quite far enough as far as I am concerned...

I know where my delete key is. I use it to delete spam after I turn them in to every ISP that handled the spam on its way to me. Love getting those accounts canceled.

No sense in sending them farther. The aliens would consider it an act of war.

Okaaaay... so you don't have a problem with the site, but you have a problem with it's general content. I'll pass on you then, and ask if anyone is familiar with how well spamcop works. I've been using the "Junk Mail" feature on MS Outlook which is fine, but if there's a way to actually report spam to the ISP, I'd be interested in that.

Thanks

Waste. What a total waste of effort and bandwidth.

I get sickened by rabid-anti-spam-kooks, they should have hot pokers stuck into thier eyes. They won't have to look at spam, then.

Hey, equal treatment. Send the spammers to Pluto, stick hot pokers into the eyes of rabid-anti-spam-kooks. Sounds fair to me.

jrscharton,

Just go to www.spamcop.net register and follow the instructions for outlook and then you can get started. You will be suprised at how much less spam comes your way.

Its fun knowing you have cut off another spammer.

Kook? Yes. Rabid? Only when I don't get all my shots. Anti-spam? Depends on my mood.

The rare times I have turned a spammer in have been completely arbitrary. But I have noticed they usually coincide with when I'm behind on my shots...

cmbtboots. You got the joke, right? The Email address is an insider joke.

Shoshanah What is it with this chat room? What's with all these guessing games? I don't know you, or artdoggy. If you are accusing me of being a sock-puppet, please say so.

I think spamming is good! Its a great opportunity for increasing sales...who are against making money? The more money I have the more colors I can paint my little art poodle's toes.

It doesn't seem like a very good joke if you have to point out that it's a joke.

Shoshanah=KatyD.

I see. I ignore one name, and she makes up a new one to claim I was her high-school sweetheart with.

Looks like that IGNORE Feature is getting worn out. Keep making them up, KatyD. I've been on the net a long long time, and I know stalking when I see it.

Go away. It was someone else who you gave your heart to, all those many many years back. Re-live your false memories with some other poster, in some other chat room.

KatyD2, Welcome to ignore!
