I bid on and won a dutch auction on the 23rd of August. Before the auction ended I wrote the seller to ask how much shipping was and I heard right back from her.

Let me say this item is something I want very much and in my excitement to get it quickly I "paypaled" her the money right after the auction ended. She only takes paypal as a method of payment. Anyway it is the 29th (5 days later) and I have yet to even receive her end of auction email. I emailed her once to let her know I paid via Paypal and again today to see if there was a problem with no response.

I don't remember if she was verified or not. Oh yeah, she has only one negative and around 100 positives in feedback. Any ideas on a next step.

thanks

Is it possible that the seller, having established contact with you with your question about the total, figured a EOA was not needed?

What kind of shipping was used (if you know)?

You say you emailed her again today, is it possible that she tends to her ebay business in the evening?

I am assuming that if the item was shipped the day after the auction (and you don't state if that is the policy of the seller) it was shipped the 24th (Thursday). So, that give the package Thursay, Friday, Sat., Monday, and today to travel. Even with priority (and you don't say if she shipped priority) packages can take up to two weeks to arrive.

My suggestion would be to give the seller the rest of the day to respond to your email. If she has not responded then you could write her again.

I think it is way to early to panic.

cmbtboots...I generally send out EOA's within 24 hours. In the case where the Buyer contacts me first, I send out a reply to their e-mail in lieu of an EOA.

And even though you paid via PayPal, not every Seller ships out the next day. The item may not have gotten into the mail until Saturday or even Monday. I'd give it a few more days before contacting again.

Also, you might check on your PayPal account page to see the status of your payment: if it says UNCLAIMED, then it is possible you sent it to a wrong address, or there is a typo in the address. And as lotsa says, it can take a little more than 3 days. Also, some sellers only ship on week-end...

LOTSAFUZZ: Cool name by the way. I don't think that since she emailed me back with the shipping price that was intended to be her EOA terms. I forgot to include that I heard from another winner in this auction who also paypaled her right after and has not heard from her at all. 2nd Question: She said she whould ship priority for 3.20.

As for the 3rd question: I hope I am overreacting.

I am not saying she should have shipped, although it would be great if she had, I would just like to hear from her and know that she has received my payment.

SHOSHANAH: Yep, its been claimed.
