Did I miss something somewhere along the lines? I remember a long time ago (possibly over a year ago), ebay had to temporarily disable searching the description in completed auctions. Their idea and mine of temporary are obviously two different things. Did they announce that it was a permanent thing finally and I missed it? I do miss being able to search descriptions on completed auctions. Anybody else tire of eBay constantly lying about these "little" things. (If in fact, they never announced the permanancy of the whole thing).

Unless I misread the announcements, they just now (within the last week) announced that they have fixed the bug that was preventing them from allowing searches of complete auction descriptions. I have to confess, though, I only scan the Announcements, so I may be mistaken

Well I just took a second look and I don't see anywhere that you can click to search title AND description on completed auctions. Where on your screen does it say this? I've cleared my cache, so that can't be the problem.

So, it isn't just me. We really can't search descriptions in the completed auction section? Any idea when this became a permanent thing?

I just tried another method. Was in a category, where it has the 'search items & descriptions' etc., do a search there, then it gives a 'search completed items'. Just worked.

I tried that as well, but if you notice on the results of the current auctions search there is a box to check or not check to search BOTH title and description where on the completed search results there is no such box. There are many items missing in the completed search because of this, it will not search the description, just the title.
