Here is a new one on me. I won 7 auctions Sunday night and Monday morning. Everyone took Paypal, so I wasted no time and paid immediately. I included the item numbers, names, everything. 6 of the auctions (3 by one seller) responded by last night. All shipped yesterday or promised shipment by Thursday. I'm delighted!
Number seven doesn't respond until late last night : "Please send payment, blah, blah,...
I returned a copy of my Paypal notice, and asked him to acknowledge it. This morning I get: "2ND NOTICE, Please send payment, blah, blah,... "
Of course, I'm worried. I check my Paypal history - sure enough, payment was made like everyone elses. I copied the Paypal page and sent it to him. By now I have spent more time with his payment than the others combined. Guess what I got back?
"3RD NOTICE, Please send payment, blah, blah,... "
Those horrible sounds are me ripping my hair out.
Any ideas will be gratefully accepted.

Are you sure you typed his email address exactly right? If it is off by even one character, it will look to you like you paid, but he will never get it.

Sounds as if he may not be getting you other e-mails at all. Check the address and see if its the same. Also be sure that your pay pal account shows a completed transaction to his name and not just a pending one. IF it's pending you may have accidentally typed in the wrong address and he isn't getting it. Other than that who knows

Also another idea. If there is a letter in the email be sure you use the lower or upper case which ever it is. My email has a lower case letter and people get it mixed up with the upper case and then it won't transver.
Good Luck

maybe your emails are not getting through. and maybe you didn't paypal to the right account.
try sending an email through another server...or the "email a friend"...also, check that you didn't have an extra period or something in the paypal payment addy

If you are concerned he might not be getting your emails, use the "Send this Auction to a Friend" feature on ebay.
Just don't make it look like SPAM.

mrpotatoehead -
I copied his email address from ebay, and it matches exactly the messages he has sent me.
If he didn't get the money for any reason, I
would hope he'd reply - "never got any payment". I just get the same request for payment with a new header. No explanation given.

Have you checked the Status of that payment in your account? If it says "Unclaimed", there is either a typo in the address, or seller has a secondary Email addy for PayPal, and FORGOT to tell you about it....

Thanks all!
I have checked and rechecked my Paypal account, and it went through. Also Paypal acknowledged he was a "verified " member when I made the payment.
I'm going to try the "send this auction to a friend" feature, pointing out that I am doing so because I haven't had a real response to my messages.
I hope ebay doesn't boot my %$# for it, I'd hate to get tossed over this.

Are the messages from an automated email program? I had this happen once. The seller's email program went bonkers.

I just checked my history folder at PayPal again. Everything says "completed", I'd guess he has the money.

Are you using HIS Email to you to reply? or are you starting a NEW Email each time?
Could be that if he should be with AOL (who knows!) his "inbox" might be messed up...

It might best to just get his/her info from Ebay, and telephone the person...It is well worth the few dollars, even to leave a message...Unless it is very, very far away... Like Australia...

I got a response!
"I have many auctions going and I am sorry I don't have time to reply to each bidders email. Yes, I received your payment
Sunday night and you will have your item within 2-3 weeks "
Well, at least the money didn't get lost in webspace.

I'd say either he needs to have fewer auctions, more help, or less bidders.

I myself would also be questioning why shipping will take 2-3 weeks. Especially since he/she has my money and money for shipping.
Where there terms stated in the auction that shipping would take this long?
Just Wondering.....

Hi,
If the name shows next to the transaction in the history log they have received the payment. Please advise them to check their history. If unclaimed, there is an issue with the email address and you would need to reverse the payment.

Wait, this idiot sends 3 requests for payment in 3 days, doesn't bother to check to see if he's been paid, THEN says he'll ship in 2 to 3 weeks. Please tell me his id so I don't bid on one of his auctions!

Surely, he meant 2-3 DAYS!....Has to!!!!
Did you check with him on that?
And once more, it is small wonder that there is a little dissatisfaction between sellers/bidders....Oy!
I don't know if this is allowed or not, but I too, would like to know who the person is...I really don't want to cross his path...If you feel like you, you can Email me at [email protected]
I'm sure if this is not allowed, I'll soon hear from Moderator....no problem..Meanwhile, the best of luck!

First of all UNBELIEVABLE!!! I don't have TIME to reply??? Looks like he had time to send you 3 emails... would have saved him some time if he'd read his Paypal payment history first. Humph.
Secondly, UNBELIEVABLE!!! 2-3 weeks??? Oh no no no... if shipping is to be delayed by that long, it needs to be in his TOS.
What a maroon!

Thanks all, once again!
I'm not really unhappy right now. I just got concerned that my payment wasn't getting acknowledged. It gets scary.
As for the rest, I got a real GOOD deal, and I intend to leave positive feedback as soon as I get my toys.
There is no where else that I can go for the deals I get on ebay, so I'm willing to be patient (within reason)

I guess if Jarret is okay with this deal then the discussion should be over, BUT I myself would not stand for that. I can't imagine having all that packing to do that will take 2 to 3 weeks, I guess that seller needs some help. i.e. paxil, prozac, zantac.
