This is a quasi-takeoff of Lotsacoffee's Spain thread...
I'm giving serious thought to opening up to international sales soooooooooooo...
What is your opinion of the best online payment service that allows international transfer of funds?

I use two options.
Bidpay.
CCNOW.
Both have given excellent service.
Bidpay is free to the seller. The buyer has to pay a fee.
CCNow has a hefty charge borne by the seller. Buyers are not charged.
As a seller based in Australia we do not have the advantage of PayPal, Billpoint and similar based US enterprises.
When, if ever we do, I'll be first in the queue.

Billpoint.
I know some of you hate it but my international customers have been thrilled. If PayPal ever opens up to international, even under the business plan, I'll offer it as well..it's cheaper than both BillPoint & CCNow.

BidPay has my vote. But I strongly caution against cash! Of the last 6 International payments sent cash to me, ALL did not arrive! One arrived with the envelope slit open & only the letter inside, the other 5 not at all, although the buyers swear they mailed it. Of the last 2 MOs, both arrived, but with "unsealed" envelopes. All my BidPay payments arrived safe, sound, quickly, and sealed.
Obviously, since my mailbox is locked, someone in my PO who knows I ship a lot of eBay is intercepting all my International mail in hopes of finding cash. Domestic mail all arrives OK, cash or check. Well, at least it's obvious to me. The PO says no, not obvious. Says it's unlikely the $$ was ever sent. Right.
I'm warning all my International customers to send cash at their own risk & strongly urging they use BidPay or send MO.
I haven't bought overseas yet since I found BidPay, but will do the same. The one item I did buy from Italy, I found (after EOA) that the PO will not sell you an International MO for Italy! And to get one from the bank not only was expensive, but, I'd have to drive several towns away! Hubby was in the hospital unsuccessfully trying to die on me at the time, so I let the seller know there'd be a delay sending payment until I could get clear over there & she had me just send a personal check. Bless her, I know it cost her more to cash it!

I just checked out the bidpay site. It is an auction site and I was looking for an
international payment option to use on ebay.
Am I confused here or are you talking about paying for international sales that are
sold on ebay with bidpay?
You'll have to excuse my confusion its over 100 degrees in the shade here today

RainyBear you were right. Don't I feel silly.
So Bidpay is the best option for someone like myself who wants to accept foriegn bidders.
I keep getting requests to open up my bidding to other countries but I've only done it twice to Canada. Once was a deadbeat that never payed and the other was so prompt with her payment it surprised me.
I can't get a letter to go from OK from Texas in three days much less Canada.

Bidpay has been great! Very quick with confirmation emails and receiving payment. Its definitely my choice for any off-shore sales.

And the winner is.... BidPay! I signed up with them last night thanks in part to the voices on this board. We'll see how it goes...
Just as long as I don't get charged anything and I can receive international payments without having to run my buyers all over the globe in search of an mo, that's what I want.
Thanks again!
Btw, chev I had to chuckle at your hospital quip... I hope everything worked out but that was funny... unsuccessfully dying...
