Auction ended short time ago. Highest bid missed reserve by less than $3.00. Can I email the highest bidder and offer item to them? Is that considered bottom feeding. This was not a pricey item and reserve was off the top of my head. I am just trying to clear out my shed. How about some more good advice? Thanks to all of you who have already taught me so much.

Yes, you can contact the high bidder and negotiate anything you like. Good Luck.

It would seem that if your say "So sorry you did not meet my reserve! However you are only XXX off, so I thought I might ask you if you would still be interested..."...something like that...
