I just tried to see what other items a certain bidder was bidding on, and I got a disclaimer saying basically "it is against German privacy laws to pass on information regarding the items currently being bid on by a German user".

How strange. I had no idea that this was even an issue.

Yes, really.

I have exercised this option many times over the past 2 years on Ebay and have NEVER% seen this before.

There's been alotta chat about this on the eBay boards.

What you saw is FOR REAL.


German PRIVACY LAWS are strict and stringent (and for some, very appealing.)
