Not sure what exactly I am wanting opinions or advice on but here is my situation:
I had an auction end last night by a bidder whose feedback said (0) but when I clicked on it I seen that this person had 3 positives but 3 negatives which made her feedback 0. The negatives were for no contact and/or payment. I wake up this morning, check my e-mail and I receive a Paypal payment on this auction. Am thinking, cool as I didnt even think I would hear from this bidder. However, the e-mail is completely different than the e-mail on the high bidder that shows on eBay. Out of curiosity, I took the e-mail sent by this person who paid by Paypal and put it in search. I found out that the person had "67" feedbacks BUT was NARU'D (they had 2 negatives again for no contact or payment).
So I have a bidder who under their first email/ID was NARU'D, so they win under their other e-mail/ID with 3 negatives. They paid immediately and with Paypal which is great but for some reason I feel nervous about it all. I will send their item since they paid but should I have any concerns or am I making more of this than I should? The item is under $10 so no big money-maker but with the Paypal charge-backs and freezing accounts I have been reading, am a bit paranoid! Any opinions?

Check if they paid by credit card of funds already in their PP account. If they paid by CC, they can do a charge back. The amount may be small but they can still get your whole account frozen. If they did not pay by CC, they can only complain to PP, so as long as you have proof of delivery, you should be okay. http://www.ygoodman.com [email protected]

Thanks! I checked and they didn't pay with a credit card. I never thought of checking that way. Good piece of information to know. I appreciate your help!

I didn't know you could check how payment was made. Could you tell me how to do that.
Sounds like a good thing to know.

Just click on the details of the payment.
Here's another tip. Paypal lets you have a business and a personal account. The business is charged for ALL payments, even non credit card. The personal is free but limited to $500 in six months. So I tell my winners that (if they insist on using paypal) if they are verified, they can pay via credit card charge into my business account but they must add 2% to cover the fees. If they are not verified or want to save 2%, they should pay from their existing PP balance or bank account into my personal account. Because I also send all my customers the link to my Paypal warning page http://www.ygoodman.com/paypal.html (feel free to link to this), I have gone from about 10 PP payments a week to less than one and most of the time it is not a CC payment. People who want to use CC can pay me via Exchangepath, Payplace, Moneyzap.
Paypal used viral marketing to sucker 4 million people into joining by spreading their lies. Now we have to use viral marketing to spread the truth.
