Parcel to New York, $35.60 via air mail, $29.00 via the new "Express Post" to the U.S. , 2-3 business day delivery guaranteed, and trackable, duh....... I sent a parcel last week via this method on Thursday, delivered on Monday, I am impressed, Canada Post Wonder how long it will be before they "fix" that?

Not to burst your bubble, but there's no way in hell that the cost for Xpresspost would have been less than Air Mail.
Your clerk screwed up, lucky you.

LOL, yes! I've used Xpresspost several times in the past few months, and it IS fast, and for many items it's not much more than the cost of Air. Also, you get Delivery Confirmation, and a refund if it arrives even 1 day late. Make sure to always check the guaranteed shipping time when you ship, and then check the DC date online.

Actually reddeer, this is true.
Although the rates stated above are wrong. It does cost less for Express Post if you are located closer to the destination.
Example with the above package:
Closest airmail rate is 35,70$ if package is less than 9.0 kg. Then Express Post rates to New York are:
Rate Code 1 (Eastern Canada and Ontario) is 31,30$ (less than airmail)
Rate Code 2 (does not apply here) is 39,60$
Rate Code 3 (Western Canada) is 44,90$

I wanted to add that Express Post is cheaper than airmail for people in Western Canada only for packages sent to the following destinations:
- Idaho
- Oregon
- Washington State
Not fair, I guess
Edited to clarify
