Hi..Can somebody tell me if it's legit or even possible to sell under two different ID's for two entirely different types of merchandise? Have been selling for a few months specific kinds of items and want to be able to sell a different kind of mix which is totally unrelated seperately. Is this an insane thought? I usually sell the "pretty stuff" and have somewhat of a following for that, but I'm afraid to put cigar labels, country store stuff, etc. on the same ID or they'll think I've changed my offerings completely.

Hi, it's perfectly okay to have more than one eBay ID to do what you are referring to. We have 2 ID's. We sell horse tack on one of them & dolls, toys, etc..using the other one. I'm like you, I like to keep my items separate. It works out very well.

romantiques...it is okay to have multiple IDs, but you just can't mingle them. IOW, you can't bid on your own auctions or manipulate the bidding in anyway using an alternate ID.
I know many sellers that use different IDs for selling different types of items, and many use one ID to buy and another to sell.

Many thanks...I knew I came to the right place. Now that I know it's OK, is there a special way of doing this? I tried to register under my husbands email address and the response was "already registered"..."do you want to change your ID or email address".
He has never registered for ebay or even looked at it, so I can't figure this out or how to get a second ID going. I hate to admit that I've spent hours on this already just chasing my shadow. I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer when it comes to this intimidating box.
Any help is appreciated...Thanks.

Try typing in your husband's email address and see if you already accidentally signed him up as a member. If that is the case you just need to change his ID.
