I was just notified today that my ISP will no longer offer service in my area as of December 30 (a lot of notice, huh?). This means that I will have to change my user ID on eBay since I have always used my email address. I hate the thought of those shades. But does anyone know if I will get to keep my hard-earned feedback (687)? Also are there any suggestions for a new provider? I have used the one I have now since I went on line.
I haven't posted for awhile, but I have been lurking. I know someone around here will know. Because of the secrecy of my position, I am prevented from knowing what I am doing.

Yes, you get to keep your feedback. Just *make sure* you change ids while your current email account is operating as you will need to confirm the change via that (current) email addy.
I've heard good things about Earthlink/Mindspring.

Your feedback or site history won't change, just your user ID! When you have a new email all set up, just change it in your registration information (http://pages.ebay.com/services/myebay/change-registration.html). You can designate your new email address as your user ID. You'll have the sunglasses for 30 days, but your feedback won't go back to zero or anything.

Yea, I am kind of in a panic. I use my web space to host all of my auction pictures. Right now I get unlimited access, 6MB of webspace for $9.95 a month. I am looking for something along those lines.
It is good to know that I won't loose the feedback. Now I just have to get all this done in 3 days!
Hi, Julesy, long time "no talk". I don't even know if you remember me? Because of the secrecy of my position, I am prevented from knowing what I am doing.

I don't think that is correct. You can change your e-mail address on ebaY without changing your User ID, thus you won't have sunglasses.

Sorry, guys, I have been out shopping for an ISP. So many different plans....
mouseslayer Yep, Corecomm. I wonder what is going on there. What part of the country are you in? I am in Colorado.
kerryannMy old email is my user id so I don't see how I can not change it.
I think I have found one (an ISP). And this time when I choose a user name on ebay, I will do one so if this happens again, I won't have to change it. What a pain in the you know what.

Sorry jdamm, I got busy with the holidays I'm in Arizona. I found a place to compare plans if you haven't found an ISP yet. It called getconnected.com It will search for ISP's with your requirements, like monthly fees, set up fees, etc. And then you compare them side by side. I ended up with SurfBest. Good luck!
