Just tried BIN on a couple of auctions, with the Buy-It price at twice the minimum bid. Both closed within the first 24 hours. One almost as soon as it was posted. Now I'm thinking I should have set the BIN price higher. Ha! Oh well, crying all the way to the bank. Too bad eBay's going to charge for this service. I could get to like it. Steve

We're thrilled you like the BIN feature. Could you tell me what that has to do with an alcoholic beverage? ... or are you just celebrating?

Well, darn! I thought this was going to be a booze thread and was just gonna say GIN is fine, but I prefer RUM!
However, I like BIN, too! For some auctions at least. I have a LOT of stuff here that I need to have move on. Several items I put BIN prices above what I have seen bid on eBay and at least twice my opening bid and by-by went the item -- real quick, too! No results with some other auctions.

I like it, but I wish it wasn't Buy It Now, Pay Later. It gets annoying how some of my buyers will Buy It Now, and say I'll pay in a few days. Heck, sometimes I can get the EOA out 15 minutes after they had bid, and they don't respond until almost 24 hours have elapsed. I mean, cmon, you were JUST there, I don't really think you are gone for good away from the computer for 24 hours!

How about "The AuctionWatch Drinking Game"? Somebody throws out an item in the thread. Everybody runs over to ebay and looks for it with a BIN. Then we run back here and post it. First one to post makes everyone else have a shot. Hmmm... well, guess that won't work. It's against the guidelines to post auctions... and we'd have a bunch of drunks looking for one-eared antelope head wall mountings and begging the sellers to add BIN to the auction. In that state someone might bid on one.
Then Pat would have to growl us all out and make us inform the seller. Then the bar would be closed for 24 hours. Bummer.

Soon as I saw GIN, my mind said "and tonic with a twist", and it's only 9.30 a.m. on a cold snowy winters morn, helluva summer drink though...........summer, remember summer?
