When people pay for an auction by using PayPal, and they lump everything together, the winning bid, the s/h and insurance, Paypal takes a % of the total right? When the winners do it individually, listing winning bid, then s/h, then insurance, does PayPal then take the % from only the winning bid? Some of my winners lump it together and I think PayPal is taking a % of the total, so they are also getting money from my s/h and insurance costs as well! If this is the case, then I am going to call payPal on Tuesday with completed auctions in hand from the day they started charging, and get some refunds!

Uh, Paypal's not like ebay, charging you only for the high bid on the auction. Paypal charges you for however much money you transfer. What's so "crappy" about that? Do you think it's any different for your local Mom's Anteeks when you use your Visa to buy something and have to pay sales tax?

But why do you think it's "crappy"? I don't get your reasoning. Why do you think the high bid $ on an item should be treated any differently by Paypal than e.g. the shipping charge?
And actually, my net is up about 75% over last WEEK, and my hits are up almost 300%. Please try to remember who's complaining here.

Well HCQ Congrats on your hits and sales. Mine are great too, thank goodness. Now as to why I think it is crappy. I think the amount they charge us on the amount of the high bid is ok, but why should they take a part of what goes to the Post office and make us pay a % on that too? Now it isn't going to change, I realize that, and I guess if we all had our druthers, we would rather it wasn't that way, right? Now let's find something to reallyget mad about, and pick apart, k?
