For the past few months whenever I have tried to revise an auction on Ebay, it has been next to impossible. I receive a broken link as soon as I hit verify. If I try maybe 10 or 30 times I'll finally get through and then the same thing will happen when I try to confirm the changes. It can take up to a half hour to make one minor change in an auction! It's annoying and time-consuming. I thought it was just me but I checked the Ebay forums and HUNDREDS of sellers have the same complaint. Apparently it's been this way for MONTHS and Ebay is aware of it but has done nothing to fix it. I emailed customer support there and they actually called me on the phone and their suggestion was to close down the auction in question and repost the revised one with a note in the body saying that "this auction replaces item # whatever." Ebay claims that sellers will not be charged twice if they do that but I don't buy it. Besides, that is equally time-consuming and a stupid solution. Has anyone else had this problem and if so, is there another way around it? One Ebay tech support person on a forum there claims that this problem is unique to Auction Watch users but I don't see why or how that would be so. Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

Wow, you're right! Just did three auctions with no trouble at all. Amazing that no one on Ebay or any of the sellers in the forum seem to be aware of this. You've just saved me hours--thanks!

I was having the problem morning, noon and night--weekdays, weekends, every time. Ebay said to empty my cache and I did that often but still had the problem. Never had a problem with the Billpoint invoices though. The advice I got today to use Netscape works like a charm and I can't believe Ebay is unaware that it seems to be an IE problem, not their own.

This has a problem for about six months now for me. I can never revise an auction on ebay. I've heard about clearing the cache, but that has never worked. In the past I've been told it must be only my problem as no one else has wrote about it. I don't buy that either because I always hear others with the problem. Also, it's bogus that you can't add to a lisiting once there are bids. If people keep asking the same questions, one can't add those answers to the listing to eliviate the inqiries. Ebay is a scew-up place.
