The chances of such a thing ever getting past the "discussion" stage is slim. And if it does, the chances of it lasting more than a year is even more slim. Of course I don't know the determinations and abilities of the ones that plan to be involved. They might be more than capable and probably are. That doesn't mean it will work. How many sites have come and gone lately?

One member = one vote
Small sellers will far outnumber any mega corporations. In fact, I seriously doubt any mega corporations would be interested in a venture where they would virtually have little say and could easily be out-voted.
A "big seller" in the co-op will probably be full timers who are selling to put food on the table and pay the mortgage.
The "small seller" will probably be a hobby seller or someone simply making extra spending money.

It's like getting twenty people together to see a movie, and no one can agree which movie to see or what theater to go to. That's my concern. Then you have to follow the self appointed leaders and go where they want. By this point your thoughts don't count or won't sway anyone.
Once they put together a plan, they can send it to me for reveiw and then decide if it meets the objectives for me to invest my time and money.
I'm all for it if they come up with a plan that looks like it could succeed.

If it does not work there is little lost. If it does fly there is much gained. When you see a balance like that why noy give it a go?
