Since my computer was destroyed by a virus a few months ago.I had to have the system re-configured.

I have windows 2000 millenium edition on it and it works great with my digital camera only problem is that the jpegs are not very big and there are no settings to increase the size.

Anyone have any recommendations as to software that works great with a digital camera and are there any free programmes for such out there anywhere.

thanks Adrian

Your question needs a little clarification. Where exactly are the photos too small? The more common problem with megapixel cameras is that the photos are too big and have to be reduced. Feel free to email me directly.

I like ArcSoft's PhotoStudio 2.0.

I have Adobe PhotoDeluxe also, but I prefer the ArcSoft. All I really need to do is crop and sometimes rotate and/or resize. It is very quick and easy to use. I find the Adobe to be slow and laborious for my needs.

ArcSoft is available for free at PhotoIsland.com

See what you think...

FREE and excellent (although maybe untested on WinME) ... GIMP. I like the color correction, the sharpness corrections, and the sheer SPEED of it compared to Adobe and JASC's wares.

http://www.gimp.org/~tml/gimp/win32/ is the place and they have a newsgroup that is SUPERB for support.

only problem is that the jpegs are not very big and there are no settings to increase the size.

If you're meaning the size, such as in height/width, you can not increase it without distorting the image.. it doesn't matter what program you're using. That one rule remains hard and fast. The only way to do that, is with your camera settings.. and that has to be done before you take the pic.
