Thank you PayPal!
After all the negative comment I have heard about you, it looks like you've done the right thing and reversed the transaction where I was ripped off...
The funds still say pending, but the original transaction says reversed...
So, I definately have a much higher opinion of PayPal now, and I felt it necessary to share this with everyone else!

I'm happy for you.
Here is a posting I made in another forum:
I signed up for paypal as soon as I heard about it. After much soul searching and reading these boards, I verified. I even stayed when paypal started charging after promising paypal would always be free. I read all your doubletalk about not taking funds without authorization. You can talk all you want about it being a reversal, lost in the system for a month, but the bottom line is the owner of the account did not authorize you to take her funds.
Now, my reason for writing. BBB has given Paypal an unsatisfactory rating. Your bigwigs seem confused as to why. I even read an article quoting a spokesperson saying that out of the millions of transactions, the complaints amount to ONE A DAY. ONE A DAY? And customer service cannot handle one a day? I asked customer service a question over a month ago (unrelated to my recent problem) and still don't have an answer.
Recently however, I had a problem. To me it was major. If we compare it to a lump of oatmeal vs a lump in the throat vs a lump in the breast, it was probably a lump in the throat. But I didn't get customer service. I got a runaround. Form emails that didn't mean anything. I received the same form email about 6 times in response to each step I took to handle a seller who didn't ship. I jumped through all your hoops and paypal did NOTHING. Ultimately, my situation resolved itself because the seller received a letter from his attorney general, and he decided it was in his best interest to ship my item. But no thanks to Paypal.
I am both a seller and a buyer. This whole rant is from a buyer's perspective. I know the sellers are equally pissed about their accounts being frozen for NO REASON, and I can't get you freeze an account when I have AMPLE REASON.
So, Damon, tell your people that customer service stinks, and they have cost paypal many customers. I, myself, have deleted all my bank accounts and CC from your service, thus unverifying myself. My account with paypal stands at 0.
Unless major changes occur at Paypal, I think hell will freeze over before I use paypal again, and you have customer disservice to thank for that. I am only one person, but I am very vocal.

Valleygirl trust me you are not the only one they have ignored. I dont take any online payments, and if I did paypal would be the last company I would deal with. Even my bank warned me against them since they are not FDIC insured. When people ask me why not take paypal I just direct them to the wall street journal article, and these boards. I like my customers to payME not paypal.
