Just found them tonite while searching for youth hockey gloves off all things. Found they are free, just wondering if anyone has used them & what their comments were. Thanks.

Hi, I've used them a few times (received payments) and had no problems. They are NOT free, however. There is a $1 withdrawal fee (they charge you $1 every time you want to take out money). If you want an e-count card, it costs $6.95 and then $1 for every time you use it.
There are a lot of "hidden" fees with E-count so you have to be careful.

Kind of funny, between the time I first posted this message & now, that seller has "wised up" and signed up for PayPal and added the logo to their auction.. he he..
Though I haven't heard any horror stories like those concerning Paypal and Exchangepath, Ecount's marketing tactics were sleazy from day one. For more info:

Hey actually, I just thought about it, and i've paid far more the $1 to PayPal & Billpoint lately.. Pay Pal was great, until it quit being free.. when I hit the $500 limit... $1 isn't so bad.. I mean think about people...

I never considered ecount. Actually I didn't even know that it was a payment service. I will check it out. I know its the same company that owns webcertificate.com, and they've always been reliable and easy to deal with. I would much rather pay $1 to withdraw rather than an average of $1 on EVERY Payment I receive. I'd just withdraw once a week and save about $20 a week!

If you're basing your decision strictly on cost, Ecount is way cheaper than PayPal if you do any volume at all. But I look for Ecount to go the way of ExchangePath pretty soon.

I've never used Ecount, but that doesn't mean I'm not getting charged by them. My last credit card bill had four $50 charges from Ecount on the same day, even though I've never established an account with them. So they may charge and credit their users fine, but they obviously don't do any kind of security check on the credit card numbers they get. I'm in the process of canceling my cards and trying to charge Ecount with negligence; I'm sure that'll work well, since they'll probably be bankrupt by Tuesday.
