I just had an email from someone who bid around Christmas and wanted to claim his item. Seems he had "problems".

After I stopped laughing, I had to sit down and spell out the facts of life (I have a "problem" called negative cash flow when bidders don't pay) and ask that he not bid again on my auctions. This guy is currently -2. I already negged the guy and collected my fee and the item has been relisted and sold.

I know what you mean.

I just received payment from a bidder who won two of our auctions that ended December 23rd last year. After numberous attemtps to collect, I moved on and relisted the items. The bidder is now angry with me because I didn't wait long enough for payment?

There's an amazing double standard that sometimes exists with new eBay users. They feel that they can send their payments whenever they get around to it, but we are expected to ship the item right away.

It's not just sellers who feel the pain.
Nothing is worse than the scattershot bidding of zero feedbacker's trying to get the best price.
They don't pay, they burn the seller and the serious collector!
Yeah I know it's what the market will bear, but if these half-cocked bidders spent 5 minutes at google, they could learn a thing or two.
Blarg!

If it were just the "newbies" it wouldn't be so bad... but I've been getting burnt by some bidders who have a fair amount of positive feedback.
