Anyone know of any sites that have free shopping carts or similar system? A friend has a deer hunting supply type site and is looking for a cart program.....either thru webhosting or another site that may offfer a cart....looks like the much talked about paypal cart is never going to become available

the Perl one looks great. Question is how difficult to implement. If I have a website with just disk space, is there any problem to implementing it? Or will it take months?

Also, if Perl ever goes out of business, do I lose the shopping cart?

CCNow.com has an easy shopping cart with no monthly charge, but each order is charged 9%.

CCNOW's charges are outrageous. I wonder why they don't attempt to be more competitive? I have an account with them but have not used the service since the PayPal/BillPoint era.

laum1: The perl script is easy to use. They give you good instructions with it. Just check to make sure your service provider who hosts the webpage has a perl script interpreter installed. A perl interpreter must be installed on the web server for it to run.

I wouldn't worry about perl becoming obsolete. There are so many new thing happening on the web that you would probably just go with the flow when the time came, if and when it ever did, in fact, which is does not seem likely at this time.
