Hi Guys!
Looking for some advice here ~ I sent a bidder two brand new shirts, they never contacted me regarding their dissatisfaction, yet I just found this posted twice on my feedback profile (once for each auction).
BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!! advertises as BRAND NEW my t shirt was VERY WORN!!!!!!!!!!!!
The bidder has 61 feedback ~ I'm confused as to why I wasn't contacted first (I e-mailed to ask).
any input on feedback response?
I'm a bit shaken (only me second neg with over 800 trans) ~ can anyone help here?
Thanks

chepistar,

I wonder if the negative may have been intended for
another seller. He mentions one used shirt
and you sent him two new shirts. Maybe check
his bidding activity and see if he has bid
on other shirts?

hi helen, thanks. The bidder double negged me! One for each shirt! Waiting for a third since she won a pair of Brand New Jeans, too! I checked it out on vrane ~ she has left a total of 3 feedback in her year on eBay, 2 of which were my negs! I couldn't handle it ~ this is my response to the two negs:
Complaint: BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!! advertises as BRAND NEW my t shirt was VERY WORN!!!!!!!!!!!!
Response: 100%untrue,odd how you use hotmail and how 2/3of the fb you leave is neg....
Complaint: BEWARE!! advertising as BRAND NEW my T shirt came VERY WORN!!!!!!!!!!!
Response: shirts were new & GUARANTEED to be as represented~why no contact? hmmm

was I bad or unprofessional? thanks again!

chepistar: So sorry you got those neg's!
Ebay does give a warning that Before they place the neg. to get in contact with the other party. That customer did not!

I wish there was a way to get through, that the other party deserves the chance to respond, before they leave a neg.. A simple email might have resolved the problem.

Your response to those neg's. were fine, Chepistar!
Did you leave this person any feedback?
Again, I am sorry that this happened to you!

Thanks for the confirming my responses ~ she just e-mailed me swearing that the shirts were used. They were brand spankin new ~ BTW , I'm glad I responded when I did cause now I'm *&%#@!*& peeved and I don't think I'd be so tactful!

What happened to you really bites the big one, but I don't see how using hotmail has anything to do with leaving negative feedback.

There are lots of legitimate eBay users that use hotmail for one reason or another, myself included.

Just struck me as an odd thing to point out, I guess.

The negative feedback is 100% false, sladerous, and libel and can therefore hurt my reputation as a seller ~ I have reported it to eBay to request it's removal. Yes, it is an odd thing to post about hotmail. I should have mentioned "read between the lines".
I hate playing hard ball.

Any chance you have receipts for the merchandise that you can send copies of to eBay?

Good luck--I hope they can help you.

Have you emailed the bidder yet to see why they left that FB?

You're good! Yes, I still have the receipts for the shirts but that doesn't really mean anything, does it? It doesn't prove what I shipped was that which I purchased...hence the comment about having to play hardball!
She responded to the e-mail ~ swears the shirts have been worn (up two posts). NOT! grrrrr.
Not a good day for me to quit smoking!
You're good at this ~ any more ideas?
thanks!

Check her bidding history--- I have a strong feeling that she has confused your merchandise with someone else's.

That is another possible way to get feedback removed; if she left FB for you that was intended for another user.

Hello chepistar,

What kind of fabric were the T-shirts? We have sold some that were a kind of "stonewashed and preshrunk" cotton and one time a lady came into the shop and accused us of selling "used" T-shirts. We could not convince her otherwise. Other customers who understood the look of the fabric loved them.

LOL! You are too funny! We're on the same page ~ I did that and sent her this in an e-mail:Were you possibly trying to post feedback for the shirts you received from xxx? The two lucky shirts and the lucky jeans I shipped you were brand new ~ as my prior e-mail states, please contact me ASAP if there is a problem (happy customers are my goal!). Could your package have gotten wet or something in the mail? All three items were brand new and NEVER worn! I'm (obviously) a bit perplexed here ~ I don't have any "worn" lucky on eBay right now so I couldn't have mixed up the items sent ~ I haven't had any used lucky on eBay for months!
Please contact me as soon as it is convenient for you ~ I'd like to understand!
Best Regards,
she says the jeans were new but the shirts used. I thought she had me confused but I guess not Wow, what a woosie note I wrote! sheesh!
ROFL. Could you please do the "evelyn wood" thing and get a few pages ahead of me? You are so good at this! I'm waiting to hear back from eBay....unless of course you've got anything else up your sleeve...

BTW, I just opened a hotmail acct myself last week

shaani:
They were "LUCKY" shirts ~ Lucky tee's are almost always prewashed ~ that's why I sent the above e-mail. The jeans were prewashed, too. Is she just really paranoid? Most of my LUCKY bidders know what they are bidding on1 Is she looking for a refund? Is it buyers remorse? hmmmm....

I was looking on Lucky's website to see if they had any info on their tees being prewashed, but I could not find anything. Does it say normally say anything about that on the tags or labels or original hangtags?

If she was looking for a refund, she went about it in the wrong way, fer sure!

You're welcome chepistar!

I would not be happy with this customer as well!
Please believe me, people will see your other glowing feedbacks and realize you are not a dishonest seller.
They will also see that this customer never contacted you to try and resolve this.
Please don't let this person get to you. (I know it's not an easy thing to do.)

This is one reason why I only leave feedback AFTER the customer receives the item...not before.
They might feel they can leave the neg. without trying to contact you, because they know you cannot respond on their feedback profile. Some might think twice before leaving that neg., if they knew you could respond.

Go take a break..and treat yourself to a big Ice-Cream Sundae, knowing you did your very best in that transaction!
(That was a courteous email to her too!)

The hangtags for those shirts were from a boutique ~ I've got some "LUCKY" tags from the Lucky store on a few other goodies packed away ~ I'm gonna go check! oooooh, you're good!

In hindsight, I think the e-mail was a sellout ~ I really thought she had me confused with a different seller! I'm kind of seeing this from a different and somewhat off kilter perspective at the moment so I appreciate your insight and opinion!

Wow, that sounds good! Unfortunately, I am less than 48 hours away from quitting smoking (see the thread over at the RT if you're interested) and if I leave my computer (I don't smoke in the house) I will light up!) It sure sounds like a treat ~ even to think about ~ thanks! Maybe when I'm not quite as agitated!

Even if the labels say "Prewashed and Preshrunk" and have a hangtag that says that the material is looking such and such a way because that is the "look", some people just do not understand.

Some of these same people do not follow the washing instructions on that very same tag and come back whining when the dye has run or they have fried the item in the dryer. It is always the fault of the person who sold them the shirt.

chepistar: Your email shows you have Character! Even after you got the neg., you were still courteous to this buyer.

I went to the RT... LOL..I see you (and others) were letting off some "steam"

By the way.....CONGRATULATIONS to you, for not smoking for 48 hours!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ........You can do it!!!!!

shaani I agree with you. Seems like there are some, no matter how hard you try, you will never please.

Chepistar -

If you need a little bit more motivation to quit smoking, think of my Dad ... he just finished 4 months of chemotherapy and is heading into surgery shortly for esophogeal cancer caused by smoking. After his last chemo he was so sick he told us he was ready to give up the fight.

He has lost about 75 pounds, most of his hair - and all of the bounce in his step we loved so much. He has been so cold he keeps the heat around 90 - poor Mom is roasting.

I cannot tell you how many tears I have shed - or the pounds I worked so hard to get off that I put back on - over this. Thank God I have a wonderful family and dear friends.

Please save your family the anguish my family has just gone through - walk away from those cancer sticks for good!

You can do it! I will keep my fingers crossed for you!

BECKY

Thank you for sharing with me, Becky! I'm sorry for what you and your family are going through. You are fortunate to have good friends that can help you through this and bring you strength ~ lean on them, they won't let you down.

I cannot tell you how many tears I have shed - or the pounds I worked so hard to get off that I put back on - over this.

Fourteen months ago, my dad died totally unexpectedly in his sleep. He was only 62. It was the cigs. I can't go there right now but believe me, if the tears help than let it out!
thanks again, sweetie. I hope things get brighter for you!

Chepistar: Don't get discouraged about the negative feedback. There are a lot of stupid people out there that have absolutely no common sense. I had someone give me negative feedback because after I tried for a month to get them to pay for their item, I left them negative feedback. They, in return gave it right back to me saying I didn't try hard enough to get their payment. Now what kind of sense does that make? I now only give feedback after they receive their item and give me feedback first. If they don't want to give me feeback first, then no feedback is give. This is the only way I have found that will protect me some from of the nut cases. Most buyers are very nice, but you will always have a few that are just plain nutty. Cheer up and get on with it. As time goes on everyone will see you are a good seller. God bless you and have a great week.

Chepistar, thanks. You are wonderful. Hey - it is a horrible fight, but at least we have a fight. I am sorry about your Dad. My thoughts are with you.

As for the neg - I got my first recently. Seems I didn't email the buyer by the second day. Oh, well. Guess what? I survived. You will, too. Just respond to it and go on with selling. Very quickly it will be buried in no man's land. Few will care. Those who do will take it and weigh it against the rest of your feedback.

Good Luck to you!
