I got 2 payments in the mail today. Just the moneyorders. No auction number, no 'user name' or nuthin'!! Their name and address is on the money order, but, since they never bothered to email me with their shipping address..... Now, I've got the flu, and I don't really feel like going through all my outstanding auctions (20 or so) to find out who this belongs to. I guess it might just be a few days until they get their package. I guess they'll email me at some point when they realize that they haven't gotten their goods!

I get those from time to time.

And at any one time I have 200 or so auctions outstanding. Everythings in a database so I search for the name or address but if I cant find that, I wait. Sometimes I will search on the amount paid, and sometimes this helps me find it, but not often.

One time a guy sent me a money order without any info, except a description of the item.

It was an item I sell lot's of on Yahoo, Amazon and Ebay, so I really couldn't figure out which auction it was. And the amount paid was not exactly equal to the amount due for any outstanding auctions I had.

I knew what he wanted so I just shipped it.

Several weeks later I got an angry Email from an Ebay user who I just filed a FVF credit request for. It was him. Problem was his brother was the one actually buying the item so he didn't include any info. Also he rounded the amount up so that didn't match. So I figured, it's his problem. I told him what happened and he should explain all that to ebay and see if they will remove the ding.

I've waited as long as 60 days for some of those. But eventually they all come crying. Once in a blue moon, if I've been waiting for a while I will send a postcard to the address given and ask for the info. If it's a check sometimes there's a phone number on it and I'll call.
