I have a TON of photo's from movies and music artists that I am not 100% sure who it is. 90% of the time I can figure it out or I track it down but some I am unable to track down and the only people who would know who it is, is a fan of the group or actor. I don't want to sell them until I do know who they are because I want to make sure I give an accurate description.
If anyone volenteers to help me figure out who some of these people.edited..

Count me in but you don't have to pay me. Sounds like fun and you seem to be an aboard board fellow seller. I used to sell these at Star Trek conventions and probably could knock off a mess of them.

I'm pretty good at ID-ing obscure 70's/80's performers (as my groaning friends can testify ) Would be a pleasure (really!) to help for free--my e-mail is [email protected].

digitalmaster,
Please edit your post. It is against the CG's to solicit or advertise in the Message Center. Nothing wrong with asking if someone wants to help and give them your email but no details of payment, please.
I will give you 30 minutes. If not edited I will have to delete your post and if I delete the first post, they all go.

Hello!
My husband and I were disc jockeys for 15 years - and he is a walking, talking encyclopedia of rock and roll, jazz, punk, geez - just about any kind of music (he even took accordian lessons for 8 years!) He can not only tell you who is in a band, he can tell you what other bands they were ever in, all the members of those bands, and probably more than you will ever want to know about them!
Our music reference collection is also quite extensive. As for music collection - I'm not even going to go there!
At one point we won so many music trivia questions on a local radio stations that we were banned from playing!
Please don't see this as bragging - I just find it hilarious. We just started buying used CD's to sell in my store - he keeps taking them for his personal collection.
Everyone has to have a vice. This is one I can live with.
There are also 2 video stores in my family so we will probably be able to help you out there.
Oh, please - don't pay us. I would love to have the fun of trying to figure them out. Maybe hold a contest - and declare the winner here. Whoever gets the most right wins! Your prize could be one of the picture.
Joice -please don't delete this - we all promise to work for free!

Well if you do a completed auction search for 'James Doohan' it seems the only interest now is in the autographed copies.
They seem to be going in the $35-$45 range.
Mr Doohan unlike the lead actors was always very accomodating to his fans especially being generous with his autographs. Later on in the Trek genesis the convention organizers starting charging $10 for autographed pics and it became extremely commercial. He still has a few fan clubs and you might want to try sending a copy off to him c/o Paramount and requesting an autograph. At his age he might be thrilled. I believe he's 76 now. DeForrest Kelley (Bones) died a few years back. George Takai-Sulu used to work for the San Francisco RTD.
Walter Koening - Chekhov taught acting classes at UCLA I beleive. Still have his autograph on the back of one of my cancelled checks for appearing at my one and only convention. Loooong time ago.
