You sell? I've got people emailing me complaining that their items aren't there yet. They pay with Money Order's, I mail, it 's out of my hands and I'm getting B*%$#ed at for it. They bid, pay, I sent promptly and still get harassed about a shipping charge that is specifically noted in my TOS. I had an auction end last night and I get an email today accusing me of being a thief because I won't use Priority Mail and what "costs" are there to not use priority mail. "A neg will result". A neg will result for what? Because you dont want to abide by the TOS in my auction? I mailed a package to HAWAII 2 weeks ago and I've got someone pretty flippy because they have not received it yet. I'm giving her a refund on Friday because I dont want anymore hassle and I dont want my PayPal account closed. My daughter was very ill last week, she had a URI and pink eye. I emailed my buyers and explained the situation and let them know that their packages would be delayed by a few days and promptly mailed them on Friday. People are emailing me giving me a hard time because they didn't get them yesterday. I was honest, explained the situation, which isn't a lie and I'm still getting slack. I'm not a rip off seller, I never have been and I never will be. Do people assume that you are automatically? And the more you sell...does it make you more inclined to deal with this sort of stuff? I feel very frustrated this morning

okay, libbyp, deep breath.
I'm here for you. I saw your other thread ~ some posters are ugly this week. Please accept the apology I am putting forth on their behalf.
Here's the deal:
(1) You are your own Boss. You ship the way you are most comfortable with. period.
Someone giving you a hard time? That is their limitation in life. Be happy that you don't have to live inside their body with all of that anger and suspicion.
(2) Your communication is awesome ~ many sellers would have just blown off the bidders and tended to their other priorities. You have a strong sense of obligation to your bidders and most of them will respect you for it. Advice here? maybe. Check the wording on the e-mail you wrote and see if it can be misinterpreted by a paranoid/previously burned bidder.
(3)the more you sell...does it make you more inclined to deal with this sort of stuff?
The more you sell, the more you will find ways around the creepy eBayers and manage to make a path to the Good Ones. There are tons of awesome eBayers out there, sweetie! I've been lucky enough to meet several hundred. I've also met about a dozen morons. I can balance that ~ you can, too!
I know you've had two crappy days in a row ~ believe me, I was ready for an "eBreak" yesterday myself, but ya know what, libbyp? Some people are just weenies. Don't let their black stuff get you down!
{{{{{big hugs}}}}}
now come and hang at the round table ~ kick back, let your hair down, vent if you'd like, just don't forget to bring some chocolate and your sense of humor!
edited because I was so bent on cheering you that I didn't get to say:
hope your daughter's feeling better ~ there's nothing worse than a sick child. Try to make sure you both get some rest. get well soon!

Hey Libby! Hope your daughter is feeling better!
I agree with Chepistar (esp. the ugly posters part, yeesh!), don't let it get you down. There are jerks in every walk of life, but at least on eBay (& AW) we don't have to deal with them face to face.
Not sure what it is lately, (maybe tax season?) but the % of PITA buyers seems to have gone through the roof for us all.

I,too, hope your daughter is feeling better today and so are you. Yup, it does get frustrating at times, but I've met nastier posters right on these boards than I've met as customers. You just gotta realize that there are a few idiots in this world but that 99% are really good. And take a vacation from it all once in awhile.
I start my mornings now over at the auctionwatch Round Table and that gets me ready to deal with anything. Nothing like a good laugh to start the day with. They are all sweet, funny, caring, kind people. They are what's left of the ebay "community". Go see!

In answer to your question, I got this yesterday. I've got some awesome bidders!....the weenie wacker is working!!
Hi!
I am glad to be the winner of that great xxx.
I live in New York City and shipment will be to me there, but, I am on vacation right now, and I am writing this from a cybercafe in RIO- Brazil!!
I bid on the xxx since I noticed you accept billpoint or Paypal- since I am on vacation and cant mail anything at the moment. So, I will now try to pay using one of these methods- I tried to use Paypal yesterday- but something was wrong and I kept getting booted before the transaction was complete- I will try again now!
I am not very familiar with Paypal or Billpoint so bear with me!!!- you can see by my feedback I usually pay immediately- so dont worry!!
thanks again!
I love my bidders! Don't let the Turkey's Get You Down!
BTW, my response:
but something was wrong and I kept getting booted
LOL! what's "wrong" is that you are supposed to me on vacation! Thank you so much for your e-mail now go kick back 'n have some fun!!
