When some sellers have been "challenged" (in those shipping threads currently floating around) as to why they're charging nearly $1 for the cost of an envelope or mailer, they say that's what they pay at the store and where can they get them cheaper.
Also, before I discovered that place, I used to get them from fellow eBayers. You can do a search for padded envelopes or padded mailers.
You can also do that same search on the Internet to get a nice list of suppliers.
One thing, and I'm really not trying to be funny here, with all the talk about shipping charges. But I chose the above supplier because the total cost of a case of mailers was cheaper than the other suppliers, even though the case price was slightly higher. Why? Their shipping was lower!!!!
Anyone else feel free to chime in with more links to suppliers. AW doesn't sell mailers (yet) so they shouldn't object.

Just want to add that the above suggestion is not in any way a comment on whether said cost of mailer is added to the shipping charge or the opening bid.
I'd think that anyone who does any volume of business shouldn't have to pay OfficeMax pricing.
so they shouldn't object.
