I thought this was an interesting story on a side effect of eBay's mail relaying. Looks like the spam filters are weeding out the bidders email according to this news story.

I thought this quote was interesting:

In order to effectively use eBay, members will have to accept a greater amount of spam.

An anti-spam program (which, according to eBay themselves, members wanted) that increases the amount of spam one receives- what a deal.

For those using Hotmail's inbox protector, there is a work around. Enable a filter to pull the incoming mails with "question for seller" in the title and re-route to inbox instead of bulk mail box.

This will only work until the spammers start using those words in their titles, but maybe by then Ebay will fix this mess. hahahahaaha

Yes, good suggestion. I use Outlook Express. I created a new folder and added a new mail rule. Anything with "question for seller" in the subject line goes straight to the new folder.

It's hard for me to say this, but I like the new system. (Gag!) I only wish eBay would be honest about it and say they're trying to lock out off-site sales. Corporate double-speak gets pretty tiring after a while.
