WOW! Boy, I'm glad to be able to be here to check out the threads tonight. It was a crazy day. I'm sure most of you heard about our 6.8 earthquake.

I was at work in a pediatrics office. We are on the bottom floor of a 3 story buidling. Lukily it is a very new one, only about 4 years old.

At first all we heard was deep rumbling. Sounded like a big truck going by. Then everything started to sway. It was the weirdest feeling. Like being on a ship in big waves. I could see the walls swaying. Pictures were swinging around. The clock fell off the wall. The power went out. A bunch of charts fell off the counter. A urine specimen spilled. It seemed like it went on forever. The swaying was so strange that I remember asking the woman next to me (a patient's mother) if the earthquake was still happening or if the building was just still moving.

Then everything was still. We had no power so there was no sound. No equipment humming. Nothing. Everyone just stood there and looked at each other.

Needless to say I feel very lucky tonight. I did get the email about the new AW fees. But somehow that just doesn't seem like a big deal to me. Sure makes you realize what you've got though. Appreciate every moment, because you never know if may be your last.

luv

Thanks for sharing your story with us! You are very blessed indeed. My what an experience. Seems to be happening much lately. Hope that will be the end of the Earth Mother letting us know she's still here for a while, don't you?

Hello luvmy2bears

I am glad to hear that you are okay. I am north of you and it seemed to go right through the middle of my store. Everything was swaying and the windchimes seemed to ring forever afterwards. It felt very strange.

To keep this auction related I was actually finding more items to list for next week's auctions when the quake happened.

Please take care!

Thanks for your prayers & kind words.

I was atually trying to make a point though. It seems like everyone is always complaining (me included) about every little change that ebay or Aw makes. Every little error a buyer or seller makes.

What I was trying to get across is that a NPB, a crappy seller, new $0.05 fees.....none that is really a big deal. You have took look at the big picture. NPBs will come and go, fees will go up & down, but life still goes on. Worry about the big stuff. Let the little things go.

That was my life lesson yesterday.

I personnly think AW is great and will continue to use them for certain auctions. Like the ones where I need more than 2 pics. But I probably will just use ebay for all other auctions. However, i will still frequent these threads.

luv
