Just thought about it...if I were to list a 7 day auction...no way would all the payments etc be settled by the 14th.
So as of NOW I don't see how I can list anything..do you?

It's effective with your listings on March 14; it's not retroactive.

Have folks totally forgotten how to list an auction through ebay?

Carole, don't panic.

AW makes it easier to list, but not having it will not be the end of the world. Plenty of people list stuff every single day without using anything else but Ebay's site and ebay's picture hosting service (you can post 2 pics per auction with them for free, after that it costs about 50 cents for 4 more pics, I think).

AW is a nicer service that lets you program your auctions to start anytime and lets your pictures sit on its servers, but it's not essential to running your business. You can still send out your own end of auction notices and do business perfectly well without it. Read Ebay's seller services faq's for more info.

People were buying and selling using pictures on Ebay long before AW was invented, they can do it again.

Brighid: Are you saying that we can schedule our launches ahead of time on eBay? Do we have to do it all within a few minutes, even if we have lots? (I've never scheduled with ebay, only through AW on ebay.) Adele

No, you can't schedule ahead of time with Ebay's normal launch---it just launches when you finish editing and press launch. The delayed launch thing is one very nice benefit of AW. Think of Ebay's launching and picture hosting as a "basic" model, and AW's as a "deluxe" model. Both get the job done, but there are differences in the details.

I believe they have a bulk lister which may enable you to schedule launches, but I'm not sure about that part of it. It's called Mr.Lister and you can check it out on ebay's seller info page.

I downloaded Mister Lister from ebay tonight ~ it looks really simple........I am going to give it a try. I like to launch my auctions myself, but I like them to all launch close together and this will do that.

Mister Lister is easy ~ I used it before a buddy told me about AW.
I know you like the timed listings, but, as I commented in that waaaay too long thread, the amount of auctions closing on sunday nights could be a reason for eBays downtime lately ~ rather than mega-bids you get bupkis cause ya can't even get in to bid.

". I like to launch my auctions myself, but I like them to all launch close together and this will do that. "

If you are selling similar things, don't launch them too close together... the last-minute bidders (aka snipers) will need time to get from one of your auctions to the next.

Hi ExecutiveGirl,

I deleted your post because it promotes another auction site.

Thank you,

Marty

Using Mister Lister, you can upload your batch and let it sit there until you are ready to launch them, and then have them go.. then end up all launching within a few seconds of each other but this has some advantages:

1) You can type the listings up, save the batch, and if you sell multiples of the same items, have it all ready for next time. When you upload your batches, do so 1 small batch each night of the week, and then on Launch Day, you can launch one at 6pm, one at 6:15 etc, and have little clumps of batches launching together.

2) With Mister Lister, I've never had to ask for my auctions to be reset because they aren't showing up on search or my ebay.

3) No after auction abilities, but I prefer doing those myself for the personal touch anyway - so no loss

4) No inventory system, but I keep my inventory in Excel, again, no loss there

AW's one advantage was bieng able to launch Ebay, Amazon, and Yahoo in one batch - but I'll be doing 90-95% of my listing on Ebay now, so that one advantage has decreased in value for me...

Auctionposter is not an auction site. You can't buy, sell, or list items on Auctionposter. And I wasn't "promoting" them.. I use them, I'm not affiliated with them, I'm just a very happy customer of 3 years.

Mister Lister is much better than it used to be, which is why I tried AW.

Marty ...

Can you delete the thread (!) entitled "Announcement of new fees for AW Services" under the Ebay Outlook please? It also promotes another "auction site" and is not eBay related.

Thanks ...
