We purchased a lot of class & military rings.
In the lot we received a gold ring with the NBA insignias on each side of the stone. You know, the silouhette of the basketball player with NBA in the left hand corner. You see it on all the NBA clothes etc. I think it is NBA licensed products.
Anyway, the wording on the ring is Boston Celtics. The stone is green with a gold irishman on it. The ring inside has the initials of CE.
Questions:
Do you think this was a player ring or a ring anyone could purchase?
If a player ring - does C.E. ring a bell as any players initials?
Do players get rings for just playing? The only time I have heard of rings is for championships etc.

WOW what a find!. The initals C.E belong to Clovis Eldrige, better know as Larry Bird. This is a very obscure NBA fact. If you conatct the Mr Eldrige errr Bird, the NBA or the Celtics they will all act as if you are insane, but don't let them fool you, it belong to the Bird man!!!

Thank you for the information. Do you know anywhere I could copy that info out of a book or reference? Thanks - great info!

I figured as much. There is actually a player right now with those initials but I still have to research if this ring was a player ring or available to anyone.
