Happy Easter All- I sent my EOA's this morning and got this in return...how would you respond? (Oh, the item was a set of Paper Dolls, I started the bidding at $5.00, it sold for $11.50 including shipping) They wrote:"my family bids-I pay the bills. They could have gotten this from amazon for half. shame on you and them."

kyms,

I wouldn't respond at all. Ignore it like it was never received & just continue in a totally professional manner w/your usual contact info.

I've found if I don't respond to crap like this, it doesn't give them anyone to fight with. If they have issues, they can take it up w/the offending family members.

edited because I can't use proper english this evening.

Sounds like someone's taking their frustration with their family's spending habits out on you....

Or maybe just negotiating...*G*

Yup, concur with eventer...ignore the message and proceed as usual...

Oh, don't forget to file the NPB and neg them if they don't pay...*G*

Hello, this item was sold at auction, which means the final price was determined by the bidders, not by me.

Selling items on eBay is a business for me. Shame on you, for not controlling your family, and for interfering with my livelihood.

That said, I agree with eventer and camachinist, no response. Tempting though.

t.s.?

You mean like,

Let us go then you and I,
While the evening is spread out against the sky
Like a patient etherized on a table

or maybe:

In the room the women come and go,
Speaking of Michelangelo

or perhaps:

This is how the world ends
Not with a bang but a whimper

Kyms:

I never respond to inflammatory or incendiary statements. Just continue with your business like manner and do what is necessary. I find the less you respond to comments designed to rile you up the less chance you have of getting involved in a real problem.

Good luck!

No response is the way to go. Someone is trying for an argument so they can come up with a "good" reason (in their mind) for not paying you.
