The way I understand it, according to ebay it is OK to have more then 1 id, correct? You just have to have a separate email address for each one, right?

I have read on these boards about linking the ids together (I think). I understand why I would do it. But I do not understand how I would do it. Please explain this step to me.

Thanks,
Patti Rich

I have just found out that with 2 or more ebay id's, I need and equal amount of AW id's to launch from here. I also found out each AW id must sigh up for a plan.

Currently I have 1 id at ebay = 1 id at AW. My thought was to separate some things out for organizational reasons. I am on the power plan here so to organize things would cost me more AW fees.

If you have more then 1 ebay id and use AW to launch please tell me how you do it.

You might find somebody who can help you if you try posting in the Auction Manager forum.

taz8057,

It's not uncommon. Sometimes sellers have different IDs based on selling in different categories or areas.

Also (and I'm NOT saying this is the case here), some sellers who sell in the Adult category keep a selling ID separate from the one they use in the other categories.

Or they have their personal items under one ID & consignment items under another.

I sell with 1 ID and purchase with 2 ID

I recently started a second selling ID for the reason EVENTER mentioned. Listing about 40 items a week, it is easier for the bidders in my secondary category to not have to go through all of my listing.
(BTW, they're not adult items )

The reason I was thinking of getting another id is because I full full time. I list about 20-30 items a day and this is now my income. This summer my children are going to get more into the business and list one item a day. I thought it would be better to separate there stuff from mine. Also ocassionally my husband has something he wants to sell. So I would have the business account and the family stuff.

But having to pay more AW fees, I don't think it is worth it.

From reading these board I thought lots of sellers had 2 id's at least. But I can not see paying more fees to do it. It appears as far as AW is concerned there is no way around the additional fees.

zookoo2000: Yes you can use one credit card but you need a different email for each ebay id set up.

Hi RichieRich.. I use several different Ebay ID's. I have several different selling ID's on ebay to separate the different items that I sell. I also have 2 different bidding ID's. I use the same credit card for every ID. I do not list through AW (anymore) but I think you can have several different AW ID's to post your auctions, but you can only use one of them to post here on the message boards. But now that AW charges fees though, I'm not quite sure how they handle different ebay posting ID's.

I've been thinking about opening a second AW account for my other eBay seller ID, and I can't see where there are any extra charges. If you sell 100 items at $10 each under one account, or if you sell 50 items at $10 each under two separate accounts, you'd still pay the same in fees, right? If so, all you have to deal with is the additional hassle of downloading and installing X number of AW Pro software programs (one for each account). Somebody tell me if I'm missing anything here.

Sonsie, if you use AW's Power Plan in which you pay $200.00 a year, you would have to pay that twice, once for each ID.
