A few days ago I set up a separate Ebay ID to use for buying. Being the seasoned pro that I am (HA!), I immediately set my notification preferences so I would NOT receive any promotional messages, aka SPAM, from the good folks at Ebay. Today I get a perky little e-mail message from Ebay Marketing with a note that says I'm getting this message because I set my account up to be so notified. I'm dashed if I did!

I checked my notification preferences and they had all been reset to "YES" instead of the more sensible "NO". I saw 5 shades of red. Are they MY preferences or not? Geez Louise.

Other than sending off a "What the heck?" e-mail to them, there's not much I can do, I guess. Except be ticked off. I thought they had finished with these little games. Guess not.

END OF RANT.

Miss Candle ... they set them back to YES because everyone knows you were merely mistaken. Deep down you really want spam, and lots of it.

You also want eBay to sell you to telemarketers and junk mail firms, you just are in denial about it.

Abacaxi: You're probably right. They know what's best for me, I suppose.
