There used to be a place (email) to address these to eBay, but couldn't find it this morning.

Number 1: What's "Tobacianna" doing under "Advertising"? There are hundreds, yea thousands, of Tobacianna items that are not advertising.

Number 2: There is, and has been for a long time, a redundant category under
Sports Memorabilia: Trading Cards: Basketball: NBA
In addition to the 5 or so decade-specific singles category, there is simply "Singles". Why? There is no such redundant category in the Baseball:MLB section. Although they've recently revised the Sports Memorabilia category page, they still haven't fixed this problem.

Never mind the fact that Trading Cards are not, IMHO, "memorabilia." There are so many categories at eBay now, they're not doing a good job of organizing them, they're doing things out of expediency, and apparently the categories aren't being reviewed very carefully by knolwedgeable personnel.

Where would you place Tobacciana?

I understand that not ALL Tobacco items are considered Advertising items, but the majority of them are.

As far as redundant categories, that's my MAIN complaint about the entire eBay site.

Take a look at Pottery & Porcelain some time, it's a friggen joke. 2-3 categories for the same damn items.

See my thread on this subject for what's in store for the future.

I suppose they might be trying to balance the increased fee income from people who have to list in 2 categories with the increased resources needed to support the glut caused by redundant categories. grrr
