Suggested reply:

"Cool! I'll send your package tomorrow unless tomorrow comes before last Tuesday because I was all booked up that week so you may have to wait awhile. If this creates a problem for you send me an email yesterday and let me know (please be sure to CC a copy to [email protected]). Thanks and have a great time last weekend!"

Was E E Smith, but I'm not sure.

Oh, Orlando is in the dreaded ORANGE County.

The Jaberwocky

By Lewis Carroll

'Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe:
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.

"Beware the Jabberwock, my son!
The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!
Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun
The frumious Bandersnatch!"

He took his vorpal sword in hand:
Long time the manxome foe he sought-
So rested he by the Tumtum tree,
And stood awhile in thought.

And, as in uffish thought he stood,
The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame,
Came whiffing through the tugey wood,
And burbled as it came!

One, two! One, two! And through and through
The vorpal blade went snicker-snack!
He left it dead, and with its head
He went galumphing back.

"And hast thou slain the Jaberwock?
Come to my arms, my beamish boy!
O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!"
He chortled in his joy.

'Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did grye and gimble in the wabe:
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.

I hope you thought enough to ship their package in the morning or afternoon, whichever came first! ROFL! I love it..

"I love to go swimmin' with bowlegged women" I think that's from the cartoon "Popeye the sailorman .. toot toot."

But who knows anymore! It could have been the day before the day after that I remembered that afternoon because I saw it tomorrow.

brooklynguy...glad to hear today's payment finally arrived yesterday..good thing too, or you'd have to file an NPB last month!

Zoomin'...What a blast from the past....I have an old joke book, circa 1960's (one of my ALL TIME favorites from my youth) entitled "Tell Me Another Joke", that contains that "ditty".... There is another verse, and a slightly different ending:

Ladles & Jellypoons
I come before you to stand behind you.
To tell you something I know nothing about.

Since next Thursday will be Good Friday
There will be a father's meeting for mothers only.

Wear your best clothes
if you don't have any,
and please stay at home
if you can be there.

Admission is free, please pay at the Door
The seats are on me, please sit on the floor.

No matter where you manage to sit
the man in the balcony will certainly spit.
I thank you for your unkind attention
and will now present our next act:

The Four Corners of the Round Table.

Tee hee! (I hope it wasn't me who sent that!) If I'd written a note like that in a hurry it could have meant that I'd send payment Friday morning or afternoon depending on when I'd first get the opportunity. LOL!
