I listed a few items for a friend of mine on Ebay and when I went to check my account so I could see how much the listing charges were on her items I saw that I had been charged $19.95 for a Featured Gallery item. As far as I know, I never said that I wanted it in the featured gallery but then I thought maybe I made a mistake and clicked on something I shouldn't. So I went to the listings in that category and looked for my listing in the featured section and it's not there. How do I get (or can I) get my $19.95 refunded. I e-mailed Ebay customer service but haven't heard from them yet.
Thanks, I enjoy reading these boards and have gotten alot of helpful information from them.

listing fee is non refundable unless ebay cancels your auction for certain reasons like listing items not allowed on ebay.
but if you feel it is a mistake on ebay part(bug) or you just do not understand what featured category is ,you can ask them to refund the amount, say cancel the item and refund all your listing fee and relist it again.
they may refund your featured fee but not the regular lsiting fee,it does not hurt to ask??

I used to write an e-mail to [email protected] and explained that I had listed one too many times on an item that I only had one of, or clicked a extra-pay feature by mistake...they did credit the fee, but this has been a while back. You may want to end the auction before you get bids and re-list. Be sure to include your item number/url for them to look up the auction. Best wishes.

I have already gotten bids on this item and they are fairly good ones, so I hate to cancel the auction. If Ebay doesn't refund my featured auction fee, I might just have to chalk it up to a mistake. The trouble is, I don't see it in the featured auctions. Aren't they at the top of the page on each category or am I looking in the wrong spot?

cancel the bidder's bids, then put a bunch of links and stuff, register a new name, and report yourself for violations so that ebay cancels your auction.

I went to the home page of eBay and saw that they had a Featured section, look for your auction there and if you don't see it listed, I would write to eBay support again if you get a canned response the first time...hopefully someone different will read your e-mail and help.
