I need labels, the old priority label #228 (Jan 1999). You can not get them from ordering on the internet. I have called every PO in my area. I even drove 75 miles (round trip) to get some. But I need more.

If you have some that you would not mind getting rid of OR if you know where I can get some, please email me at [email protected].

Much appreciated!

I know the ones you mean, and I like theM too. The new ones are about 5.5 inches long, the old ones about 7 inches long. The OLD labels work great in my printer, an old canon BJC 250. I use Cedar Address Server for printing my address labels, and the old labels work great in it. The new ones are too short.

I was driving around on my thrift store routes and was about 30 miles from home and stopped in the PO across the steet from on of the thrifts and got a one inch stack of the old labels from the display rack. I went to the counter and asked the clerk if she had any more. She brought a package of 250 for me. I was thrilled. On my next time there, I'll ask for more. She probally won't remember me.

As to your question, I don't know if you can get more from ordering from the net. It's worth a try. Also, they have a toll free number that you may wish to call.

When my supply runs out, I will consider going to a printer and asking for the cost of printing a 4 x 7 label with a self adhesive backing. Another option is to go to the printers and ask them to cut heavy stock paper to the 4 x 7 size and make your own labels.

In the fact that I use packing tape over all my labels, I may scan one of the old Proirty Labels and print my own and tape over them. I hope these ideas might help you!

i have about 12 packs of those old labels laying around in the shipping room. i used to order them by the case until i switched to the preprinted return address ones the usps provides. they are the smaller ones and come on a continous feed stack....i would definetly call the 800 number and see if they still have them if you like those.............i never use my printer for labels so the ones i get from usps with the pre printed return addy work great and of course they are free..

yeager,

Try 3 up labels no gaps or margins at gflabels.com The usable space on an old priority label is less than 4". These work great. I bought 6000 labels for $127 shipped for about 2 cents each.

Even with the July 1996 Priority Mailing labels, I can squeeze in Delivery Confirmation and Postage from Endicia. It requires some fine adjustment, but it is possible.
