boards so I won't be posting after the 31st.

Too bad. This was a great board with lots of advice.

Hopefully, it won't be the downfall of AW.

Another classic example of the caliber of posts when there is no moderation. Name calling and nasty personal comments.

Meya he does that even when there IS moderation, so expect it 10 fold. Tigress and EG seem to be direct targets of his unfortunately.

It is going to get very ugly. These boards will quickly be rendered useless, which is the goal of AW. It's really too bad.

Meya, Just what is wrong with the "caliber" of my post? Or, was there something removed that I did not see?

I think AW is a great place. Hopefully, this decision will not be it's downfall. But, it might. Many people will not register a credit card just for the priviledge of posting here. I see it as AW cutting expenses (by firing it's moderating staff, and saving on those salaries), and a step toward's it's demise.

I hope not.

kidsfeet Meya wasn't commenting on your post at all. The moderator's removed an extremely nasty post by skeetersdaddy regarding some of the member's of this board. It left Meya's post under yours and looks like she is commenting on your comments, which she is not.

The "truth" is providing a credit card number to AW, eBay or anyone is proof of nothing. I am beginning to think there is a market somewhere for credit card numbers, otherwise why would these sites be so desperate to collect them?

RB,

They can sell the demographic information they collect from Credit Cards. Have you noticed all the emails hounding you to try and get you to give out your personal info? The Group Lotto folks are the WORST!! They claim they'll give you a prize if you provide some personal details and fork over your mailing address. I've noticed BargainandHaggle and others have used GroupLotto's opt-in email list to advertise to.
