Hello. Is anyone else running into slow payers? Lately we been having a lot of slow payers. In our terms and follow up emails to winning bidders we state that payment is expected in ten days. Figure that is more than enough time and if you cannot please email us to let us know. Now you have to keep emailing them asking for their funds. Anyone else running into this? And how about bidders who win a item off you and then about a week later win again and then ask if you can ship out items together? Thats been happening a lot also! I know its bad out there, lost my full time job myself and also lost my full time store front after 13 years so I know its tough. Any advice or just repost items after a set period. Thanks

Yes. I also have 2 US and 1 international customers who swear they sent payment [and I believe them] but the envelopes haven't arrived.

Alot of payments for me that used to get here in 3 to 4 days are taking 10 to 12 days now.It is not late sending either it is postmarked and that is the amount of time.Every once in a while I get one in a few days but most are taking alot of time which is understandable with all that has been happening with the Post Office.I would just hang in there and if it is just to long or you get no response from the bidder get your fees back and re-list.

Well I had a new twist the other day.
a buyer purchased 2 items out of my ebay store (shocking, I know, god the stores are dead) any ways they send an email that they will paypal the money the middle of next week. HUH?
I didn't say anything because really if they sent mo or check it would be next week anyways. I don't know it just sits funny with me.

I've got 8 late payments as of today. They are over 14 days past which is very unusual for me. Only 1 of the 8 has responded to my emails. All have really good feedback so I'm not really sure what is going on.
I haven't got a personal letter piece of mail in 5 days - only bills, junk mail etc.
I mailed 18 First Class Packages across the United States, last week on the 15th, and they are just starting to show up yesterday and today. I've had a few inquiries about where their packages are.
I mailed 4 credit card payments on October 10th - 2 have made it, 2 have not as of today. 1 went to Jersey, the other to Tennesee. I'm in Ohio.
I'm wondering if part of the problem is the US Mail. Also I heard on the news that mail without a return address or known return address was not being delivered due to the Anthrax problem.
I really don't think it's going to get any better either until they get mail screening measures in place.

Taking it to Lima!!?? Gosh, why pick on poor Lima. Lima always gets picked on and now it is decontaminating mail. My ex-husband still lives there. I'll have to ask about it next time we talk.
Mail has been very slow. I'm not getting anything but bills and junk mail. I haven't gotten a real people letter in about a week. I've got payments that are still out there somewhere. One supposed to have been mailed from CA on 10/16 still not here. Also a CD that was supposed to have been mailed from Maine on 10/15 has not arrived. I'm in NC.
Guess we just need to be patient and perhaps put a note in our EOA emails that if they want their item REALLY fast they better pay with PayPal.

I live in Cincinnati Ohio, right on the river, and I have a buyer in KY who emailed me tonight asking if I've ever recieved her payment, it's been 12 days. Granted, she lives in the southern part, about 5 hours away, but I really dont think the payment mail should be routed through N.J.
Quite honestly, I do not think I would bid on an auction that demands paymetn within 10 days. Definitely not one that demands it in seven, (or six, as I saw not too long ago), unless they a form of electronic payment that I use.

There is a plant in Ohio that can do de-contamination procedures on mail so all of DC's mail is coming here to be radiated before sending it on to it's intended recipients.
They evidentally have armed guards watching the delivery trucks, local streets and the plant where the mail is being brought to.
I had a funny thought and wondered if our mail would glow in the dark after being radiated?
