I put the no checkout logo in my auctions and obviously I should be auctioning off glasses! There is my phone number out there for them to see. How stupid! If you don;tput in the real phone number, ya can get booted off of ebay. Now what? Can this service be shut off?

I don't get it!

I started about 25 auctions in the last 2 nights and I don't see any sign of my phone number on ANY of my auction pages. And yes, I have many BIN's running as well.

What gives?

Is there anything wrong with stating the following on your auction page?

PLEASE IGNORE "CHECKOUT"! Ebay has just started forcing an experimental checkout system on users, and they have NOT worked all of the bugs out yet, which causes more confusion than anything else. So, I DO NOT USE IT. I will contact the winning bidder within 12 hours of the close of this auction with ALL the necessary information needed to complete this transaction. Thank you.

I"ve only had 2 auctions close so far with Checkout. I don't particularly need extra email coming at me, but it's rather nice to get the buyer's address up front. I don't have to bother out of state buyers with sales tax info, and if the buyer is West Coast I can recommend Priority because media-mail takes too long.

This is what I will be adding to my auctions next week when I list again...

"**Please ignore ebay's CHECKOUT feature which is shown below. We prefer to deal with you, the customer, directly, and will not be using the Checkout feature at this time. We will email you within 12 hours of auction's completion with payment information you will need to complete our transaction. Thank You!**"

This is what I am going to say-----------
Checkout: I am not familiar with this feature and would like you not to use it at this time. I hope this doesn't inconvenience you. I like the first contact which will be with 12 hours of the end of auction. Thank You.
I list from AW. Does anyone know if you can put it in additional information at the bottom of the list line?

That great that you write all this but all of us know that you will continue to get the checks coming from the bidder . Some just want you to do all the work . Click and there done ...and you do the remaining work at the other end ..Tons of extra work from your end . What does ebay think i have time to sit around and aswer every email that comes in all day??

I have revised my "NO checkout" notice on my auction pages.

It now reads:

Checkout blows, and everybody knows!
