This is the same bidder that had asked me about doing a money transfer, which I've never been involved with before. I sent him all my bank info, etc, as you guys advised me... Now I got the following e-mail from him... Makes no sense to me...

-------
I asked at my post office what would be the savest method for me to pay.
They said an foreigen money transfar is the savest an farest way.

That mean I pay at my post the money in german marks ande canadian post will
tranfar it to you in US$ direktly to your door.

-You get the money far
- an I get a confirmation that I paied!

I choose the tranfar of the (item) by airmail! One week is really enought
for me of waiting because I collect (item).

If you have some more of that (item) please say it to me if you sell them!

fathfully (bidder)
---------

Does this make sense to anyone? He pays at his post office in his own currency, then Canada Post transfers the money to USD and delivers it to my door?? I don't get it...

Sounds like he is sending you a postal money order of some kind.

Some Post Offices have International agreements with Canada Post to do this. I have had such payments come from Japan (but via Canada Post). They pay their Post office the amount in their currency equivalent and that Post Office contacts Canada Post and then Canada Post mails you a cheque .

I had a lot arrive today from Germany. And it was a super deal. I paid for the lot in US$ cash. I was the only feedback in English on the first page. If you are not in large figures, I suggest US$ cash.

Thanks guys for your feedback... I will give it some time and hopefully I should receive some kind of payment from Canada Post in the mail.
