Hello Auctionwatchers. Does anyone here have the current contact phone numbers & emails for the ebay billing department? I've already tried [email protected] and it bounced.
The ebay billing dept just sent me 2 conflicting invoice emails: One said I'm paid up as usual (they've been successfully billing my credit card for over three years), but the OTHER email said my account is past due and they'll be taking my account away.
I already checked my account status online, which confirms what I already knew: there IS no back amount due. And on my end of things, there are no changes in my cc account (no newly changed cc#, no expiration date change, etc).
So far, I've only managed to get an email into [email protected] without it bouncing. Any tips to avoid further problems
caused by this ebay error would be appreciated very much.

Hello Sam2. While I don't wish this situation on anybody, it's nice to know that I'm not in it alone. Hopefully ebay doesn't somehow robotically suspend anyone over this error. I've always seen ebay staff as the equivalent of a 3 year old wielding a hand grenade, but I hope they prove me wrong.
With all the errors that happen in the cyber world and with ebay, I've decided to finally wake up and develop my own website. Throughout the three years I've sold on ebay, I always knew in my heart that something would happen eventually that I did nothing to cause that may end my ebay run. We read about ebay errors all the time, so I guess it was just "our turn". I've weathered thousands of deadbeats, threats of violence, ebay staff help that was worse than no help at all, deadlines, wacky demanding customers, etc. But I should really be thanking ebay for reminding me why I should never trust them or count on their site as my sole source of income.
I'm just burned out from the non-stop hustle of selling on ebay anyway, and am almost glad about this. Shipping the same day payment is received, notifying winners 5 minutes after
the auctions end, dealing with all kinds of paperwork, chasing non-payers, all of it has just burned me out. Three years of dedication with not even 1 day off, and now this invoice thing.
If I get this ebay situation sorted out, I'll still sell on ebay, but will be pushing my web site harder than ever. I'll be spending my weekend thinking of ways to increase my business, independent of ebay. But god, I need a huge dose of faith in life without ebay. I've got a ton of repeat customers and many people over the years that asked me to sell to off ebay that I always politely said no to, so maybe I can make it.
Thanks for reading, and good luck to everyone who's had this deal dropped in their laps. I hope everything works out, but this was really a wake-up call for me.

I received the same thing. I also sent an email to support. We'll see what is happening. I have the checking option, and they stated they will charge my CC on file within 5-7 days.

Same here, one cockup after another.
Even more worrying for me is that when checking my invoice I come across two features on one item, these were "home Page featured" and Bold Listing [an extra $101.95 on my bill.
I know I did not choose them because the only extra price features I ever use are reserve and 10 day listing. Alarm bells begin to ring and i begin to think Ebay have made a big mistake - but before I rush off a email I decide to double check my listings on AW [at this point I should point out the item was only a poster that went for $10 and I was very pleased a tthat as my starting price was about $4].
There on my listing are the boxes for these items ticked, HOW??? I did not tick them so who did??? I shall be asking this ? on the "AW Services - Auction Manager" board as I want some answers to!! Has anyone else ever had anything like this happen??

I received two emails, but both said they were going to charge me, nothing about my credit card being past due.

I have a September balance that they have yet to take out of my credit card, though they invoiced me and said it would be deducted two and a half weeks ago.
Stockholders overlook a lot of the problems ebay causes us sellers, but screwing up the revenue is a major nono! They must have switched interns in the accounting department. Or hired a whiz kid in billing who knows it all.
The number of problems at ebay are astounding. Failed AFA, failed Stores, botched Checkout, Russian roulette relisting, are just a few...all at a time when they need to grow their income.

Same thing here. Yesterday my invoice said xxxxx$ was paid via CC on 10/9. Today's says the balance (happens to be to stuff since 10/9) is past due and I can be suspended. I responded, and also wrote support. Monday I'll try the phone #s and write time-sensitive. Frightening since I have a few auctions going- hope some programming glitch doesn't cancel them!

I got the same thing 2 moths ago,
Pay or your account will be closed,
I checked the account online,
All was paid, called my credit card com.
They didnt see any weird thing from ebay,
So everything seemed to be OK,
But just in case I went to my profile,
Asked to change credit card on file
And placed the same card number as the original back on file, then I got a message
Telling me that payment was received ok
And that my card was changed,
Yesterday I too got 2 invoices
So I'm wonder how that will work out.

I think it was just an error. The second bill seems to be from the next month, with nothing on it yet. Looking at my account online, everything is okay.

I had the same thing happen and I found a way to contact billing support throught this link: http://pages.ebay.com/help/basics/select-support.html
They sent me an email apologizing and saying my account was fine and they are trying to fixc the glitch. Hope this helps!
