I have 356 positive feedbacks and I have just received my first neg. I posted a question to everyone on auction boards here about a buyers father that wrote me after a auction and said his son was at war and he couldn't make the payment for the auction. I checked his buying and he was still buying a lot of stuff on ebay. Everyone here said NEG him so I did....This is only the second neg I ever given to anyone....this is the feedback word for word he just left me.....
BROTHER IS AT WAR AND ALL YOU CAN DO IS B*TCH .....ANTI-AMERICAN!!!!!!SHOVE IT !!!!
I am so upset I am shakeing. I didn't think that stuff was allowed on a feedback.. Could someone tell me how to send this to safe harbor and should I send this or leave it alone.

My origional question to The Auction Watch Boards was posted 10-21-2001 12:03. That post gives the whole story of what happened with the auction and the advise that everyone here gave me.

I would email your feedback page and your explaination to [email protected] and [email protected].

Explain to them that being called Anti-American is slander.

Ask to have it removed.

I know there is thread here with an address for feedback removal you can do a site search here to see if you can find it. But I would fire an email off to both the address above and get the ball going.

I suggest you do not communicate with the bidder and also put a BIDDER BLOCK on before they destroy you!

I remember your ? at the time and thought it sounded like the guy was pulling your leg; guess he's a bad lsoer when found out. Follow advice fro mposters above. hope this doesn't stop you leaving appropriate feedback in the future; as I've said in the past my few negs are retaliatory but it won't sto pme from been honest. You can always comment on the fb and prospective buyers will judge you on your overall record[if they check fb at all].

I have sent emails to [email protected] & [email protected] and filled out the paperwork for the feedback. This has upset me so bad I don't know if I could ever give any one a neg again. If I thought there was any truth in what the excuse was I would of never given him a neg. I am convinced more than ever it was a made up story. This person first told me it was his son at war now his feedback says brother is at war? I see I am not his only neg.he now has 8+ and 2negs. Should I make a comment in my defence on the feedback page or leave it alone?

Valo.
In your position i would post a reply to comment that this guy is using this as a made up excuse as was still bidding. Yo ushould not feel bad at all, the opposite in fact; as you are showing this person that there are sellers who will not accept his despicable excuses. Once done[along with actions already taken] just put it behind you and rememebr to add him to your barred list.

Just curious, have they kicked the S..........Have they kicked him off? Good for you, You have motivated me to have a couple of mine checked out. Got what he wanted he states, Then negs me. and no longer registered with e bay and left with 5 negs. This has to have some weight.

Father, brother or whoever,a bid was made and should be honored. They must have multiple users of one user name or someone is trying to pull your leg. I go for the last one. Congratulations.

I just checked and I didn't see anything saying that he was no longer a user. I was told it may take up to 36 hours to get a responce from timesensitive. Customer support is the one that wrote back and told me that they had just removed his feedback.I did notice that he has 8 positives, 0 neutrals, 2 negatives & 6 bid retractions.
Thanks to the responces to others on the threads I knew who to write to these are the three email address I sent to get this taken care of incase anyone wants to keep them where they are handy incase this ever happens to you.

Those six bid retractions could be enough to get him NARU'd, based on what I assume is a short history at eBay. You might want to forward that information to eBay as well if you haven't already.

Good luck!
